The Communist Party of the Galician People ( gl, Partido Comunista do Pobo Galego, PCPG) is a Galician political organization with a communist and independentist ideology founded in 1984. History The PCPG was established in 1984, in parallel to the process of rebuilding unity of the pro-Soviet Spanish communists that was happening across Spain, with the participation of various communist parties, like the Party of Communists of Catalonia or the Unified Communist Party of Spain, against the prevailing eurocommunism in the direction of the PCE and PCG. This process led to the founding of the Communist Party (PC), the predecessor of which was then Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE). The PCPG has participated in many elections. The Senate ( es, Senado) is the upper house of the Cortes Generales, which along with the Congress of Deputies – the lower chamber – comprises the Parliament of the Kingdom of Spain. 2014 European Parliament Election In Spain
The 2014 European Parliament election in Spain was held on Sunday, 25 May 2014, as part of the EU-wide election to elect the 8th European Parliament. All 54 seats allocated to Spain as per the Treaty of Lisbon were up for election. The People's Party (PP) emerged as the largest party overall, albeit with its worst nationwide election result in 25 years with a mere 26.1% of the share and 16 seats, losing 2.6 million votes and 8 seats from its 2009 result. The Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) lost 9 seats and 2.5 million votes, obtaining just 23% of the total party vote and 14 seats. 2015 Spanish Municipal Elections
The 2015 Spanish local elections were held on Sunday, 24 May 2015, to elect all 67,515 councillors in the 8,122 municipalities of Spain and all 1,040 seats in 38 provincial deputations. The elections were held simultaneously with regional elections in thirteen autonomous communities, as well as elections in the three foral deputations of the Basque Country, the four island councils in the Balearic Islands and the seven island cabildos in the Canary Islands. Cangas, also known as Cangas do Morrazo, is a seaside resort in southwestern Galicia, Spain. It is both a town and municipality in the province of Pontevedra. Its area is about 38,1 km² and has a population of around 26,087 inhabitants. Cangas Left Alternative (''Alternativa Canguesa de Esquerda'' in Galician language; ACE) is a coalition of 3 political parties and various independents in the municipality of Cangas, Pontevedra. History In the municipal elections of May 27, 2007 ACE gained 1,890 votes, the 13.1% of the total vote, and three councilors out of a total of 21.
