Communist League Of Xinjiang
The Communist League of Xinjiang; also translated as the Xinjiang Communist League or Xinjiang League of Communists. was a clandestine communist organisation active in Xinjiang, China, from 1944 to 1947. Based in the regional capital of Dihua (Ürümqi), it had a Han Chinese-majority membership, in contrast to the contemporary East Turkestan Revolutionary Party, which had a Uyghur-majority membership. After consulting with the Chinese Communist Party, the two groups voted to merge and form the Democratic Revolutionary Party. Democratic Revolutionary Party (Xinjiang)
The Democratic Revolutionary Party; also translated as the Party of the Democratic Revolution. was a communist party active in Xinjiang, China, from 1947 to 1948. It was formed from a merger between the Han Chinese-majority Communist League of Xinjiang and the Uyghur-majority East Turkestan Revolutionary Party. The Chinese Communist Party, after multiple meetings with the latter organisation's leader Abdulkerim Abbas, recommended the merger. Its chairman was Abdulkerim Abbas, and its vice chairmen were Asgat Iskhakov and Li Taiyu. The party published a newspaper called ''Democratic News''. Altay Prefecture is located in Northern Xinjiang, People's Republic of China. It has an area of and a population of 561,667 (2000). It is a part of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. At the 2000 census, Altay was the only major subdivision of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture with an ethnic Kazakh majority (about 51%). Yan'an (; ), alternatively spelled as Yenan is a prefecture-level city in the Shaanbei region of Shaanxi province, China, bordering Shanxi to the east and Gansu to the west. Dong Biwu (; 5 March 1886 – 2 April 1975) was a Chinese communist revolutionary and politician, who served as acting Chairman of the People's Republic of China between 1972 and 1975. Early life Dong Biwu was born in Huanggang, Hubei to a landlord family, and received a classical education. In 1911 he joined the Tongmenghui, and participated in the Wuchang Uprising. Abdulkerim Abbas
Abdulkerim Abbas, also Abdul Kerim Abbas, Abdulkerim Abbasoff, 'Abd al-Karīm 'Abbās (1921 – 27 August 1949), was a Uyghur leader in Xinjiang, China during the 20th century. He helped lead the Ili Rebellion of 1944, which led to the founding of the Second East Turkestan Republic (Three Districts) in northern Xinjiang. Abbas, along with Ehmetjan Qasim, headed the Marxist faction within the Three Districts, which in 1946 set aside the rebellion's declaration of independence and joined the Nationalist Chinese in forming a coalition provincial government.
