Common Palmar Digital Veins
The palmar digital veins (or volar digital veins) on each finger are connected to the dorsal digital veins by oblique intercapitular veins. Some sources distinguish between the "proper palmar digital veins", which are more distal, and the "common palmar digital veins", which are more proximal. Intercapitular Veins
The palmar digital veins on each finger are connected to the dorsal digital veins by oblique intercapitular veins. They drain into a venous plexus which is situated over the thenar and hypothenar eminences and across the front of the wrist In human anatomy, the wrist is variously defined as (1) the Carpal bones, carpus or carpal bones, the complex of eight bones forming the proximal skeletal segment of the hand; "The wrist contains eight bones, roughly aligned in two rows, known .... Superficial Palmar Venous Arch
The superficial palmar arch is accompanied by a pair of venae comitantes Vena comitans is Latin for accompanying vein. It refers to a vein that is usually paired, with both veins lying on the sides of an artery. They are found in close proximity to arteries so that the pulsations of the artery aid venous return. Common Palmar Digital Arteries
Three common palmar digital arteries arise from the wikt:convex, convexity of the superficial palmar arch and proceed Anatomical terms of location#Proximal and distal, distally on the second, third, and fourth lumbricals of the hand, lumbricales muscles. Alternative names for these arteries are: common volar digital arteries, ulnar metacarpal arteries, arteriae digitales palmares communes, or aa. digitales volares communes. Each of these arteries receive the corresponding volar metacarpal artery and then divide into a pair of proper palmar digital arteries (q.v.). Proper Palmar Digital Arteries
The proper palmar digital arteries travel along the sides of the phalanges (along the contiguous sides of the index, middle, ring, and little fingers), each artery lying just below (Ventral, dorsal to) its corresponding Dorsal digital nerves of ulnar nerve, digital nerve. Alternative names for these arteries are: proper volar digital arteries, collateral digital arteries, arteriae digitales palmares propriae, or aa. digitales volares propriae.Again, ''palmar'' and ''volar'' may be used synonymously, but ''aa. digitales volares propriae'' does not occur in the TA, and can therefore be considered deprecated. They anastomose freely in the subcutaneous tissue of the finger tips and by smaller branches near the Interphalangeal articulations of hand, interphalangeal joints. Each also gives off a couple of dorsal branches which anastomose with the dorsal digital arteries of hand, dorsal digital arteries, and supply the soft parts on the back of the second and third phalanges, including t ... Dorsal Digital Veins Of The Hand
The dorsal venous network of the hand is a network of veins within the superficial fascia on the dorsum (backside) of hand. It is formed by the dorsal metacarpal veins, and gives rise to veins such as the cephalic vein and the basilic vein The basilic vein is a large superficial vein of the upper limb that helps drain parts of the hand and forearm. It originates on the medial (ulnar) side of the dorsal venous network of the hand and travels up the base of the forearm, where its co .... References Veins of the upper limb {{Circulatory-stub ...
