Come (American Band)
Come is an American alternative rock band, formed in Boston by Thalia Zedek (vocals, guitar), Chris Brokaw (guitar, vocals), Arthur Johnson (drums), and Sean O'Brien (bass). Band history Come came into being after a mutual acquaintance invited Brokaw, O'Brien, and Johnson to play with him. Brokaw was playing drums with Codeine, Johnson had previously drummed for Athens, Georgia band Bar-B-Q Killers, and O'Brien had played with two other 1980s Athens bands, Kilkenny Cats and Fashion Battery. After playing one show together, Brokaw, O'Brien, and Johnson decided to split off into their own project and invited Thalia Zedek to join them. Zedek had played in the bands Uzi and Dangerous Birds and had met and befriended Brokaw in the mid-1980s. Her most recent band at the time, the post- no wave New York City band Live Skull, had disbanded in 1990 and Brokaw and Zedek had been talking about playing together. After a year of jamming together, Come released the 12-inch single "Car" ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Come Organisation
Come Organisation was a record label started by William Bennett in 1979 as a way to release albums by his own band, Come, when he was unable to find a label willing to release them. It is best known for releasing the work of Bennett's subsequent band, Whitehouse. The label's first release was the Come single "Come Sunday/Shaved Slits" in 1979. When Bennett dissolved Come in 1980 to form Whitehouse, Come Organisation continued to release his work, serving as the label for all of Whitehouse's albums from its inception through 1985's '' Great White Death''. In addition, Bennett began to release albums by other controversial or extreme groups, including Sutcliffe Jugend, Maurizio Bianchi, Nurse With Wound and even Charles Manson. When Whitehouse went on hiatus at the end of 1985, Come Organisation was dissolved. Bennett again created a label for his releases in 1988, but called it Susan Lawly rather than reviving Come Organisation. Catalog *Charles Manson *Come * Dennis ... Come (album)
''Come'' is the fifteenth studio album by American recording artist Prince. It was released on August 16, 1994 by Warner Bros. Records. At the time of its release, Prince was in a public dispute with his then-record company, Warner Bros. The album would be Prince's final Warner Bros. album under his name. For the remainder of his contract with the company, his name would be represented by the "Love Symbol", and he would be referred to as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince". Evolution of the album Most of the songs from the ''Come'' album were recorded in early 1993 during a highly prolific time for Prince. An early collection of single word-titled tracks included: "Come", "Endorphinmachine", "Space", "Pheromone", "Loose!", "Papa", "Dark", and "Poem". It was unknown at this time if these tracks were indeed intended for an album. In late May 1993, Prince's then band member, Mayte Garcia, sent a letter to a Prince fanzine listing the above tracks, plus a few others: "Interactive" ... Say You Will (album)
''Say You Will'' is the seventeenth and, to date, last studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on 15 April 2003. It followed 1995's ''Time'' and was their first album since 1970 without vocalist/keyboardist Christine McVie as a full member following her departure in 1998, though she participated in some songs as a guest musician; it would be her last time being involved with the band in a studio capacity before her death in 2022. Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks shared primary keyboard duties throughout the album. This would also be the band's last full album with Buckingham before his dismissal from the group in 2018, although he would participate in their 2013 extended play. ''Say You Will'' was the first studio Fleetwood Mac album to peak in the top three in the US since 1982's ''Mirage''. The album debuted at No. 3 with sales of 218,000, spent two months within the top 40, and was certified Gold by the RIAA in July 2003 for 500,000 copies shipp ... COM Express
COM Express, a computer-on-module (COM) form factor, is a highly integrated and compact computer that can be used in a design application much like an integrated circuit component. Each module integrates core CPU and memory functionality, the common I/O of a PC/AT, USB, audio, graphics ( PEG), and Ethernet. All I/O signals are mapped to two high density, low profile connectors on the bottom side of the module. COM Express employs a mezzanine-based approach. The COM modules plug into a baseboard that is typically customized to the application. Over time, the COM Express mezzanine modules can be upgraded to newer, backwards-compatible versions. COM Express is commonly used in Industrial, military, aerospace, gaming, medical, transportation, Internet of things, and general computing embedded applications. History The COM Express standard was first released in 2005 by the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG). It defined five module types, each implementing differen ... Craps
Craps is a dice game in which players bet on the outcomes of the roll of a pair of dice. Players can wager money against each other (playing "street craps") or against a bank ("casino craps"). Because it requires little equipment, "street craps" can be played in informal settings. While shooting craps, players may use slang terminology to place bets and actions. History In 1788, "Krabs" (later spelled crabs) was an English variation on the dice game hazard (also spelled hasard). Craps developed in the United States from a simplification of the western European game of hazard. The origins of hazard are obscure and may date to the Crusades. Hazard was brought from London to New Orleans in approximately 1805 by the returning Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville, the young gambler and scion of a family of wealthy landowners in colonial Louisiana. Although in hazard the dice shooter may choose any number from five to nine to be his main number, de Marigny simp ...
