Columbia Historic District II
Columbia Historic District II is a national historic district located at Columbia, South Carolina. The district encompasses 113 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a former residential section of Columbia. They were built between the early-19th century and the 1930s (majority between 1900 and 1918) and are now mostly used for commercial purposes. The buildings are in the Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Classical Revival, and the “Columbia Cottage” styles. Columbia Historic District (Cedarburg, Wisconsin)
The Columbia Historic District is a neighborhood in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. At the time the district was listed on the register, its contributing properties included 128 historic homes, one church, and eighty-seven historic outbuildings, including garages and barns, all constructed between 1844 and 1938. The district also contained several dozen buildings that do not contribute to the historic district, including modern homes from the post-war era as well as modern garages and other additions to historic properties. History In 1842, a family of Old Lutheran German immigrants named Groth settled in the Cedarburg area and constructed a cabin on the eastern bank of Cedar Creek. Although the Groth cabin not longer exists, it was the first building in the area of the Columbia Historic District. Between 1843 and 1846, Dr. Frederick A. Columbia Forest Historic District
The Columbia Forest Historic District is a national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It is directly east of the Virginia Heights Historic District. It contains 238 contributing buildings in a residential neighborhood in South Arlington. They were built in two phases beginning in 1942 and ending in 1945, and consist of 233 single-family dwellings contracted by the Federal government to house the families of young officers and ranking officials. They are two-story, two- and three-bay, paired brick or concrete block dwellings in the Colonial Revival-style.
