Columbia Historic District is a national historic district located at Columbia, Tyrrell County, North Carolina. It encompasses 119 contributing buildings, 1 contributing structure, and 1 contributing object in the central business district and surrounding residential sections of Columbia. Columbia, North Carolina
Columbia is a town in Tyrrell County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 891 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Tyrrell County. Geography The Albemarle-Pamlico Peninsula is located in northeastern North Carolina, inshore of Nags Head and the Outer Banks in the Inner Banks region. The peninsula is framed by Albemarle Sound to the north, Alligator River to the east, and the Scuppernong River to the west Demographics 2020 census As of the 2020 United States census, there were 610 people, 338 households, and 197 families residing in the town. 2000 census As of the census of 2000, there were 819 people, 341 households, and 221 families residing in the town. Tyrrell County, North Carolina
Tyrrell County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 3,245, making it the least populous county in North Carolina. Its county seat is Columbia. The county was created in 1729 as Tyrrell Precinct and gained county status in 1739. Tyrrell County is included in the Kill Devil Hills, NC, Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Virginia Beach-Norfolk, VA-NC Combined Statistical Area.
