Coltness High School
Coltness High School is a secondary school located in Coltness, the largest suburb of Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The school opened in 1966, and as of May 2015 had a roll of 780 pupils. The school serves the catchment area of Coltness and Cambusnethan, as well as settlements outside of Wishaw such as Cleland. Wishaw ( sco, Wishae or Wisha ; gd, Camas Neachdain) is a large town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, on the edge of the Clyde Valley, south-east of Glasgow city centre. The Burgh of Wishaw was formed in 1855 within Lanarkshire. it formed a joint large burgh with its neighbour Motherwell from 1920 until its dissolution when Scottish local authorities were restructured in 1975, and was then in Motherwell district within the Strathclyde region until 1996. The town is part of the Motherwell and Wishaw constituency. It has the postal code of ML2 and the dialling code 01698. Geography and climate Wishaw lies within North Lanarkshire, the fourth largest local authority in Scotland by population. Lewis Macleod (footballer)
Lewis Kenneth Macleod (born 16 June 1994) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He came to prominence with Rangers in Scotland and is a product of the club's academy. He later played in England for Brentford, Wigan Athletic and Plymouth Argyle. Macleod represented Scotland from U16 to U21 level. Andrew Wilson (born 1970 in Lanark, Scotland) is an economist, businessman and former Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP). He is a founding partner at strategic communications firm Charlotte Street Partners. Catherine Stihler
Catherine Dalling Taylor Stihler (née Taylor; born 30 July 1973) is a Scottish former politician who is chief executive officer (CEO) of Creative Commons. A member of the Scottish Labour Party, she was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Scotland from 1999 to 2019. After leaving the European Parliament, she first served as CEO of non-profit organisation Open Knowledge Foundation and from August 2020 as the CEO of Creative Commons. Paul Charles Quinn (born 21 July 1985) is a Scottish footballer. His usual position is right back, but he can also play at centre back or on the right wing. Quinn started his career at Motherwell and has also played for Cardiff City, Doncaster Rovers, Ross County (two spells), Aberdeen and Dundee United. David McEwan (born 26 December 1981 in Lanark) is a Scottish former footballer. He played as a goalkeeper. In his career he has played for Livingston, Clyde (on loan), Hamilton Academical (on loan and then permanently), Alloa Athletic, Dumbarton and Irish side Derry City. Career McEwan began his career in the youth team of Livingston, before being loaned out to Clyde and Hamilton Academical. Scott Leitch
Donald Scott Leitch (born 6 October 1969) is a Scottish former football player and coach, who played as a midfielder. He played professionally for Dunfermline Athletic, Heart of Midlothian, Swindon Town and Motherwell, and managed Ross County. Career Leitch began his playing career in 1989 at junior club Shettleston before turning professional with Dunfermline Athletic in April 1990. After three years at Dunfermline he joined Heart of Midlothian, where he remained for another three years before moving to England with Swindon Town in a £15,000 transfer. Leitch returned to Scotland in 2000 with home-town team Motherwell where he played 128 league games, scoring 1 goal.
