''Colors of Memory'' (In Persian: مینای شهر خاموش, transliteration of title: ''Minā-ye Shahr-e Khāmoush'') is a 2008 Iranian film directed by Amir-Shahab Razavian, based on the events of the 2003 Bam earthquake. This film's original name is ''Minā-ye Shahr-e Khāmoush'' (مینای شهر خاموش), which may be translated as ''The Minā of the Silent Town''. 2003 Bam Earthquake
The 2003 Bam earthquake struck the Kerman province of southeastern Iran at 01:56  UTC (5:26 am Iran Standard Time) on December 26. The shock had a moment magnitude of 6.6 and a maximum Mercalli intensity of IX (''Violent''). The earthquake was particularly destructive in Bam, with the death toll amounting to at least 34,000 people and injuring up to 200,000. The effects of the earthquake were exacerbated by the use of mud brick as the standard construction medium; many of the area's structures did not comply with earthquake regulations set in 1989. Following the earthquake the U.S. offered direct humanitarian assistance to Iran and in return the state promised to comply with an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency which supports greater monitoring of its nuclear interests. Amir Shahab Razavian ( fa, امیرشهاب رضویان, born 25 May 1965 in Hamadan, Iran) is an Iranian film director, filmmaker and producer. Razavian began his cinematic activities at ''Hamedan Amateur Film-making Centre'' in 1980 while still studying at high school (at ''Ebn-e Sinā'' High School in Hamadan). He earned his film directing degree from ''College of Theatre and Cinema'' of ''Art University'' in 1990. From the same college, he received in 1995 his post-graduate degree in animation. Ezzatolah Entezami ( fa, عزت‌الله انتظامی, 21 June 1924 – 17 August 2018) was an Iranian actor. Career Ezzatolah Entezami started his career on stage in 1941 and graduated from theatre and cinema school in Hanover, Germany in 1958. He has been acting in movies since 1969.
