State Highway 26 (SH 26) is a long state highway in Denver, Colorado, United States. It follows a portion of Alameda Avenue, stretching east from SH 95 (Sheridan Boulevard) at the west city limits to Kalamath Street within the Interstate 25 (I-25) and U.S. Route 85 (US 85) interchange (I-25 exit 208). It formerly continued west through Lakewood to US 40 near I-70 exit 259. Route description SH 26 is a four-to-six lane surface road, beginning at SH 95 and crossing SH 88 (Federal Boulevard) midway. Approaching the east end, it crosses the South Platte River just before the interchange with I-25. Kalamath Street, the end of state maintenance, is one-way southbound, providing access to US 85 south and I-25 south. U.S. Route 85 (US 85) is a part of the U.S. Highway System that travels from the Mexican border in El Paso, Texas, north to the Canadian border in Fortuna, North Dakota. In the U.S. state of Colorado, US 85 begins at the New Mexico state line south of Starkville and ends at the Wyoming state line south of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Dinosaur Ridge
Dinosaur Ridge is a segment of the Dakota Hogback in the Morrison Fossil Area National Natural Landmark located in Jefferson County, Colorado, near the town of Morrison and just west of Denver. The Dinosaur Ridge area is one of the world's most famous dinosaur fossil localities. In 1877, fossil excavation began at Dinosaur Ridge under the direction of paleontologist Othniel Charles Marsh. Some of the best-known dinosaurs were found here, including ''Stegosaurus'', ''Apatosaurus'', ''Diplodocus'', and ''Allosaurus''. State Highway 391 (SH 391) is a long north–south state highway in the vicinity of Denver, Colorado. Route description The southern terminus of the route is at U.S. Route 285 (US 285) in Lakewood. The northern terminus is at Interstate 70 (I-70) exit 267 in Wheat Ridge. The road is known as Kipling Parkway from US 285 north to West Mississippi Avenue and Kipling Street from Mississippi to I-70. The Town of Morrison is a home rule municipality in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The population was 428 at the 2010 census. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is located nearby. State Highway 74 (SH 74) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Colorado. Running from Interstate 70 (I-70) in El Rancho to SH 8 in Morrison, the highway roughly follows a hook-shaped path running northwest–southeast. The section of the route north of the town of Evergreen is known as Evergreen Parkway and is a segment with a four- to six-lane roadway, with the section east of Evergreen mostly two lanes. The other section is known as the Bear Creek Canyon Scenic Mountain Drive, or just Bear Creek Road, and primarily parallels Bear Creek, passing through the towns of Kittredge and Idledale.
