The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), commonly known as the Rocky Mountain Conference (RMC) from approximately 1910 through the late 1960s, is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level, which operates in the western United States. The 1908 Colorado Silver and Gold football team was an American football team that represented the University of Colorado as a member of the Colorado Football Association (CFA) during the 1908 college football season. Fred Folsom, who had left Colorado to coach at Dartmouth College from 1903 to 1907, returned as the team's head coach for his third stint and eighth overall season. Under Folsom's guidance, the team compiled an overall record of 5–2 record with a mark of 3–1 in conference playing, placing second in the CFA. Colorado outscored its opponents by a total of 96 to 35. Frank Castleman
Frank Riley Castleman (March 17, 1877 – October 9, 1946) was an American football and baseball player, track athlete, and coach in multiple sports. He competed for the United States in the 200 metre hurdles at the 1904 Summer Olympics held in St. Louis, Missouri, where he won the silver medal. Castleman was a member of the Greater New York Irish American Athletic Association, which became the Irish American Athletic Club. He competed mainly in the 200 metre hurdles. Castleman graduated from Colgate University in 1906. Castleman served as the head football coach at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1906 and 1907, compiling a record of 7–6–4. He was also the head basketball coach at Colorado in from 1906 to 1912, tallying a mark of 32–22, and the head baseball coach at the school from 1907 to 1913, amassing a record of 30–17. Willis Keinholz
William Simmian "Willis" Kienholz (October 10, 1875 – September 20, 1958) was an American football player and coach. He served one-year stints as the head coach at six different colleges: Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois (1903), North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts—now North Carolina State University (1904), the University of Colorado at Boulder (1905), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1906), Auburn University (1907), and Washington State University (1909). Kienholz played football at the University of Minnesota in 1898 and 1899. Coaching career In 1902, Kienholz was an assistant football coach as his alma mater, Minnesota, working under head coach Henry L. Williams. The next year he was the head football coach at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois, leading his team to a championship of Illinois colleges. Dave Cropp
David Bertram Cropp (July 8, 1876 – August 14, 1950) was an American university professor and college football and college baseball coach. He served as the head football coach at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa in 1899, Dakota University—now known as Dakota Wesleyan University—in Mitchell, South Dakota in 1901, and the University of Colorado—now known as the University of Colorado at Boulder—in 1903 and 1904. Cropp was also the head baseball coach at Colorado in 1904 and 1905, tallying a mark of 9–9.
