Colorado's 22nd Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Jessie Danielson since 2023. Prior to redistricting the district was represented by Democrats Brittany Pettersen and Andy Kerr (American politician), Andy Kerr. The 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Colorado were held on November 8, 2022, to elect the eight U.S. representatives from the state of Colorado, one from each of the state's eight congressional districts. The elections coincided with the Colorado gubernatorial election, as well as other elections to the U.S. House of Representatives, elections to the U.S. Senate, and various state and local elections. District boundaries were redrawn to ensure that the districts are apportioned based on data from the 2020 census, which added an eighth seat to Colorado's delegation. Kenneth Guy Summers (born November 12, 1953) is a retired Colorado legislator. Elected to the Colorado House of Representatives as a Republican in 2006, Summers represented House District 22, including southern Lakewood, Colorado and portions of Jefferson County from 2006 to 2012. Colorado's 16th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Democrat Chris Kolker since 2023. Prior to redistricting the district was represented by Democrat Tammy Story and Republican Tim Neville. Geography District 16 is based in the far western suburbs of Denver, covering all of Gilpin County and parts of Boulder County and Jefferson County, as well as the southwestern corner of Denver proper. Tim Neville is a former Republican member of the Colorado Senate from the 16th district. Neville was born and raised in Florida. He has a degree in business administration from Regis University and has lived in Jefferson County, Colorado since 1988. His professional experience includes managing Neville Insurance Associates, working in food distribution sales, and working in restaurant management. Neville was appointed to the state senate in 2011 from District 22 and after redistricting he was elected from District 16 in November, 2014, when he defeated incumbent Democrat Sen.
