Colorado's 13th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Kevin Priola since 2023. Prior to redistricting the district was represented by Republican Party (United States), Republicans John Cooke (Colorado politician), John Cooke and Scott Renfroe. Geography District 13 is based around the city of Greeley, Colorado, Greeley, also covering the other Weld County, Colorado, Weld County communities of Evans, Colorado, Evans, LaSalle, Colorado, LaSalle, Milliken, Colorado, Milliken, Gilcrest, Colorado, Gilcrest, Platteville, Colorado, Platteville, and Fort Lupton, Colorado, Fort Lupton. Colorado (, other variants) is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States. It encompasses most of the Southern Rocky Mountains, as well as the northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. Colorado is the eighth most extensive and 21st most populous U.S. state. Colorado's 4th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Colorado. Located in the eastern part of the state, the district encompasses most of the rural Colorado Eastern Plains, Eastern Plains as well as the larger Colorado Front Range Urban Corridor, Front Range cities of Greeley, Colorado, Greeley, Longmont, Colorado, Longmont, Castle Rock, Colorado, Castle Rock, and Parker, Colorado, Parker. The district is currently represented by Republican Party (United States), Republican Ken Buck. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+12, it is one of the most Republican districts in Colorado, especially since the 2012 redistricting removed Fort Collins, Colorado, Fort Collins from the district. Bob Beauprez
Robert Louis Beauprez (; born September 22, 1948) is an American politician and member of the Republican Party from the state of Colorado. Beauprez is a Colorado native and graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder. He worked as a dairy farmer and community banker before serving as chairman of the Colorado Republican Party from 1999 to 2002. He was then elected to represent Colorado's 7th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives, and served from 2003 to 2007. He gave up his seat to run for Governor of Colorado in the 2006 election but lost to Democratic nominee Bill Ritter. Cory Gardner
Cory Scott Gardner (born August 22, 1974) is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician who served as a United States senator from Colorado from 2015 to 2021. A Republican, he was the U.S. representative for Colorado's 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2015 and a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Gardner defeated Democratic incumbent Mark Udall in the 2014 Senate race. Gardner was chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee from 2017 to 2019. After the 2018 midterm elections, he and University of Colorado Regent Heidi Ganahl became the only Republicans to hold statewide elected office in Colorado.
