Colonia Nápoles is a colonia, is an officially recognized neighborhood in Benito Juárez borough, Mexico City, and one of the iconic Mid-Century neighborhoods of Mexico City along with Colonia Del Valle. In Mexico, the neighborhoods of large metropolitan areas are known as colonias. One theory suggests that the name, which literally means colony, arose in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when one of the first urban developments outside Mexico City's core was built by a French immigrant colony. Unlike neighborhoods in the United States, ''colonias'' in Mexico City have a specific name which is used in all official documents and postal addresses. Usually, ''colonias'' are assigned a specific postal code; nonetheless, in recent urban developments, gated communities are also defined as ''colonias'', yet they share the postal code with adjacent neighborhoods. Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros
The Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros is a cultural, political and social facility located in Mexico City as part of the World Trade Center Mexico City. It was designed and decorated by David Alfaro Siqueiros in the 1960s and hosts the largest mural work in the world called ''La Marcha de la Humanidad''. The building has a theatre, galleries and more, but the main focus is the Forum Universal, which contains the interior portion of Siqueiros' mural work. Visitors can experience the mural while standing on a rotating stage, listening to Siqueiros narrate. Mexico City Metrobús
The Mexico City Metrobús (former official name Sistema de Corredores de Transporte Público de Pasajeros del Distrito Federal), simply known as Metrobús, is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that has served Mexico City since line 1 opened on 19 June 2005. As of February 2018, it consists of seven lines that cross the city and connects with other forms of transit, such as the Mexico City Metro. The most recent line to open was line 7, running for the first time double-decker buses along the city's iconic boulevard, Paseo de la Reforma. In 2016, Metrobús carried on average 1,152,603 passengers on weekdays. Javier Sánchez is a Mexican developer and architect primarily known for contemporary construction in Mexico City, especially the Condesa neighborhood. Sánchez is the founding partner and lead designer of the Mexico City firm JSª, known as Higuera + Sanchez from 1996-2007. ''Obras'' magazine voted Sánchez one of the forty most influential architects of the past forty years. Biography Sánchez graduated with honors from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM), and received his master's degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York City. Sánchez was at the vanguard of market urbanism in Mexico City. His firm, Higuera + Sánchez, bought a dilapidated warehouse in Condesa and created the city's first studio lofts, including communal space in the heart of the building. The Spanish Colonial Revival Style ( es, Arquitectura neocolonial española) is an architectural stylistic movement arising in the early 20th century based on the Spanish Colonial architecture of the Spanish colonization of the Americas. In the United States, the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 in San Diego, highlighting the work of architect Bertram Goodhue, is credited with giving the style national exposure.
