Colombo Port City
Colombo International Financial City ( si, කොළඹ ජාත්‍යන්තර මූල්‍ය නගරය, translit=Koḷam̆ba Jātyantara Mūlya Nagaraya) is a special economic zone and International Financial Centre located in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which is currently under construction on reclaimed land adjacent to the Galle Face Green. The land reclamation work had been completed as of January 2018. In 2017, the cost was slated to be United States dollar, US$ 15 billion. The project is part of China's Belt and Road Initiative, Belt and Road initiative. In May 2021, Parliament of Sri Lanka approved Colombo Port City Economic Commission Act, Port City Commission Bill to establish the Colombo Port City Special Economic Zone and Economic Commission. Port Of Colombo
The Port of Colombo (known as Port of Kolomtota during the early 14th Century Kotte Kingdom) is the largest and busiest port in Sri Lanka and the Indian Ocean. Located in Colombo, on the southwestern shores on the Kelani River, it serves as an important terminal in Asia due to its strategic location in the Indian Ocean. The Colombo Municipal Council is the municipal governing body of Colombo, the largest city and financial centre in Sri Lanka.
