GW Erco Shimano () is a Colombian-registered UCI Continental cycling team that participates in road bicycle racing events on the UCI Continental Circuits. Prior to 2023, the team was based in Italy and held UCI ProTeam status. Gianni Savio manages the team, with assistance from directeurs sportifs Giovanni Ellena, Antonio Castano, Didier Paindaveine and Marco Bellini. In 2022, with the arrival of a new sponsor — Drone Hopper (an aeronautical engineering company based in Spain) — the team has received a new name Drone Hopper–Androni Giocattoli. Gianni Savio (born 16 April 1948) is an Italian cycling team manager, who is currently a directeur sportif with the cycling team, a position he has held since the team's creation in 1996. Career He began his career as a sports director in 1986 with . Later in 1992, he took over the direction of from Dino Zandegù. He then joined the newly created in 1996 which underwent several changes in sponsorship and names over the years, including Selle Italia, Colombia-Selle Italia, Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni and Androni Giocattoli, reaching the current GW Shimano–Sidermec.
