Colo (volcano)
Colo is a stratovolcano in Indonesia. It forms the small island of Una-Una at the middle of the Gulf of Tomini, the northern part of Sulawesi. The volcano is broad and has a low profile with only above the sea level. It contains a wide caldera with a small volcanic cone inside. Only three eruptions have been recorded in the history with two of them causing damage. 1898 eruption The eruption had a VEI of 3, qualifying as 'severe'. ''Citrus macrophylla'', also known as alemow, is a citrus tree and fruit, belonging to the papedas. The trees are short in stature, more tropical in nature than most citrus, and are very spiny. Colo (December 22, 1956 – January 17, 2017) was a western gorilla widely known as the first gorilla to be born in captivity anywhere in the world and the oldest known gorilla in the world in 2017. Colo was born at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to Millie Christina (mother) and Baron Macombo (father), and lived there for her entire life. Zeno Colò (30 June 1920 – 12 May 1993) was a champion alpine ski racer from Italy. Born in Cutigliano, Tuscany, he was among the top ski racers of the late 1940s and early 1950s. Career At the World Championships in 1950 in Aspen, he won gold medals in both downhill and giant slalom, and the silver in slalom. Two years later, at the 1952 Olympics in Oslo, he won gold in the downhill, and finished fourth in the giant slalom and slalom. Italy waited two decades for its next Olympic gold in alpine skiing, Gustav Thöni's win in giant slalom in 1972.
