Collins Kipruto
Collins Kipruto (born 12 April 1994) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner specializing in the 800 metres. He was the overall winner of the 2020 World Athletics Indoor Tour in the 800 m. Biography Collins is from Nyahururu, Kenya where he is a Kenya Wildlife Service officer in addition to his athletics career. At the 2019 Penn Relays, Kipruto anchored the winning Kenyan sprint medley relay team with a 1:47.16 split. This performance led to him qualifying for the 2019 IAAF World Relays, where he competed in 2019 IAAF World Relays – Mixed 2 × 2 × 400 metres relay, the new mixed 2 × 2 × 400 m relay with women's teammate Eglay Nafuna Nalyanya. The team finished 4th across the line, but was later disqualified due to Nalyanya accidentally stepping inside the track. Kipruto was a regular on the 2020 World Athletics Indoor Tour series, which concluded in February 2020. ISTAF Berlin
The Internationales Stadionfest (ISTAF) is an annual track and field athletics meeting at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, Germany. It was first held in July 1921 at the Deutsches Stadion, which was replaced from 1937 by the Stadium of the 1936 Olympic Games. Since 2006 ISTAF has been sponsored by DKB and officially known as the DKB-ISTAF and from 2010, had been part of the IAAF World Challenge, the second tier of global one day athletics events. The Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix, formerly known as Aviva Indoor Grand Prix, is an annual indoor track and field competition which is held in mid-February at the Arena Birmingham in Birmingham, England. 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships – Men's 800 Metres
The men's 800 metres at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships took place on 18 and 19 March 2022. Summary Mariano García came into the World Championships as the world leader for 2022. No podium athlete returned from the distant 2018 Championships and with Elliot Giles failing to start the heats, only Álvaro de Arriba returned from the previous final. With 8 men on a 6 lane track running the first turn in lanes, Marco Arop rushed from his shared position to take a clear lead at the break. Andreas Kramer and Noah Kibet fell in line behind as Arop took the field through a 24.04 first lap with Garcia trailing the field. Craig Engels
Craig Engels (born May 1, 1994) is an American middle-distance runner. He competed for the United States at the 2013 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships, where he won the men's 1500 meters. In the 2016 USA Olympic Trials Engels was focused on making the semi-finals of the 800m and was listed as an alternate for the 1500m. He finished 4th in the 800m final and 5th in the 1500m final, missing out on the Olympics in both events. Running career High school Engels attended Ronald W. Reagan High School until he graduated in 2012. In addition to running cross country and track, he played for his school's soccer team and was a member of the Earth Club at his school. By the time he graduated from Reagan in 2012, he had set his school's records in the 800 meters, mile, and 3200 meters.
