The College of Medicine of the Lagos State University popularly known as LASUCOM is one of the top College of Medicine in Nigeria. The college is located within the structure of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. It was established in 1999 under the administration of Col.Mohammed Buba Marwa who donated the building known as Ayinke House to the School. The college started with training medical student that led to the award of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB;BS) Degree and expanded to other programmes such as Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Nursing Science (BN.Sc), Bachelor of Science, Physiology (B.Sc. Ikeja
Ikeja is the capital city of Lagos State in southwestern Nigeria. Its population, as of the 2006 census, is 313,196. John Obafunwa
John Obafunwa is a Nigerian medical expert, pathologist, lawyer, author and former Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University. Early life and education Obafunwa was born in Epe, a local government area in Lagos State, South-Western Nigeria. He obtained a bachelor's degree in medicine from the University of Lagos. Mohammed Buba Marwa
Mohammed Buba Marwa (born 9 September 1953), is a retired Nigerian army brigadier general, who has served as Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) since January 2021. He previously served as governor of Lagos State from 1996 to 1999 during the military regime of Generals Sani Abacha and Abdulsalami Abubakar and governor of Borno State from 1990 to 1992 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida.
