The College of Medicine and Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani University () is a medical and public health school in Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand. History The College of Medicine and Public Health, Ubon Ratchathani University was founded on 17 December 2002, following a meeting with Sunpasithiprasong Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University and Ubon Ratchathani University, with the goal of increasing the provision of education for medical and healthcare personnel in the South Isan region. On 8 November 2003, the Medical Doctor (MD) course was approved by the Medical Council of Thailand and in 2005, the BSc in Public Health course was approved as well. Warin Chamrap ( th, วารินชำราบ, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the western part of Ubon Ratchathani province, northeastern Thailand (Isan). Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Mueang Ubon Ratchathani, Sawang Wirawong, Na Yia, Det Udom, Samrong of Ubon Ratchathani Province, and Kanthararom of Sisaket province. The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University () is the fifth oldest medical school in Thailand located in Mueang Khon Kaen District, Khon Kaen Province, the second medical school to be set up in a region outside Bangkok and is the sixth oldest faculty of Khon Kaen University. Ubon Ratchathani ( th, อุบลราชธานี, ) is one of the four major cities of Isan (with Khorat/Nakhon Ratchasima, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen), also known as the "big four of Isan."
