Medford/Tufts Station
Medford/Tufts station is a light rail station on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line located off Boston Avenue near College Avenue in Medford, Massachusetts, adjacent to Tufts University. The accessible station has a single island platform serving the two tracks of the Medford Branch. It opened on December 12, 2022, as part of the Green Line Extension (GLX), which added two northern branches to the Green Line, and is the northern terminus of the E branch. The location was previously served by railroad stations. The Boston and Lowell Railroad (B&L) opened Stearns Steps station near what is now College Avenue by 1849. It was soon named Tufts College, then College Hill, after the 1852-founded college. The original station building – a converted house – was replaced with the brick Tufts College station slightly to the south in 1897. College Avenue is one of two stations on Metra's Union Pacific West Line located in Wheaton, Illinois. The station is located at 303 North President Street, and lies next to Wheaton College. The station is located away from Ogilvie Transportation Center, the eastern terminus of the West Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, College Avenue is in zone E. , College Avenue is the 47th busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 1,059 weekday boardings. Unless otherwise announced, inbound trains use the north platform and outbound trains use the south platform. As of December 5, 2022, College Avenue is served by 54 trains (28 inbound, 26 outbound) on weekdays, by all 10 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays and holidays. College Avenue is the oldest campus of Rutgers University – New Brunswick, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S. It includes the historic seat of the university, known as Old Queens and the campus of the New Brunswick Theological Seminary. Many classes are taught in the Voorhees Mall area, also home to the Zimmerli Art Museum. It is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and theaters in downtown New Brunswick and is served by Rutgers Campus Buses, a zero-fare bus network. College Avenue Gymnasium
College Avenue Gymnasium is an athletic facility on the College Avenue Campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It is the second gymnasium built on the site. The first was built in 1892 on the site of College Field, the former RU football field. The first collegiate game of American football was played on the site on November 6, 1869, with Rutgers beating Princeton University, 6–4 (roughly 42–28 under today's scoring). The old Ballantine Gymnasium burned down in 1930, and this replacement building opened in 1932. Officially, it is the College Avenue Gymnasium, but it is known to the RU community as "The Barn." Most of the seating is in the form of a balcony on three sides, upstairs from the court level, giving the gym one of the most intimate settings in Eastern college basketball while it was RU's main venue for the sport. College Avenue Secondary School
College Avenue Secondary School is one of three public high schools in Woodstock, Ontario under the Thames Valley District School Board and is named after the street on which it is located. It is built on the site of the former Woodstock College, which closed in 1926. It offers full courses for students in grade 9 through 12. The school has a visual arts program and a number of technology courses, most notably its recently introduced Hospitality program. The technological programs include; baking, cooking, horticulture, auto mechanics, welding and woodshop. The school also has a football team, as well as basketball, ice hockey, rugby, swimming, track and volleyball teams called the CASS Knights.
