''Collaborations 2'' is the tenth studio album by Punjabi singer Sukshinder Shinda, released worldwide on 26 February 2009, and his second collaborative album. The album was also released internationally to USA, Canada, and U.K. The album was preceded by the lead single, Ghum Shum Ghum Shum which featured Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (, ; born 9 December 1974) is a Pakistani Punjabi singer, primarily Qawwali, a form of Sufi devotional music. Khan is one of the most popular and highest paid singers in Pakistan. He is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Kha .... The song was also Shinda's first with Rahat. Following the success of his first single, Yarrian Banai Rakhi Yaarian featuring Jazzy B, was released which was another success. Sukshinder Shinda
Sukshinder Shinda (born Sukshinder Singh Bhullar) is a British Indian playback singer-songwriter and bhangra record producer from Handsworth in Birmingham, England. He hails from Dhamai village in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, India. Since releasing his first professional recording in 1993, ''Dhol Beat Ek'', Shinda has produced or collaborated on more than 200 albums, including all of Jazzy B's releases and the majority of Amrinder Gill's. Training Sukshinder Shinda learned music from Prof. BS Narang Awards In 2006, Sukshinder Shinda won two awards at the UK Asian Music Awards (UKAMA), "Best Album" and "Best Video". The Punjabis (Punjabi language, Punjabi: ; ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ; romanised as Pañjābī) are an Indo-Aryan peoples, Indo-Aryan ethnolinguistic group associated with the Punjab region, comprising areas of northwestern India and eastern Pakistan. Bhangra (music)
Bhangra () is a type of non-traditional music of Punjab originating from the Punjab region. Over the years, bhangra has evolved and gained popularity not only in South Asia but also around the world. It has become a significant part of the cultural identity of the Punjabi diaspora in countries like Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Prior to this musical fusion, bhangra existed only as a Bhangra (dance), dance form in the native Punjab. This Punjabi music was unique in that it was not traditional nor did it seek any authenticity. While the traditional folk music of Punjab has a set of melodies that are used by various singers, bhangra was a form of strict "band culture" in that new melodies were composed for each song. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (, ; born 9 December 1974) is a Pakistani Punjabi singer, primarily Qawwali, a form of Sufi devotional music. Jaswinder Singh Bains (born 1 April 1970), better known by his stage name Jazzy B, is an Indo-Canadian singer and songwriter of Punjabi music, he has also worked in Indian films mainly Punjabi and Hindi. Early life and career Jazzy B was born in Durgapur, Nawanshahr Punjab, India. When he was five years old, his family moved to Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. His first album ''Gugiyan Da Jora'' was released in 1993. The rhythm was played by Sukhshinder Shinda who suggested that he move to England if he wanted a prominent career in Punjabi music.
