The Colisée de Trois-Rivières is an arena in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. It has a capacity of 3500, with 2700 seated. It opened in 1938. The Colisée was home to the Trois-Rivières Draveurs of the QMJHL from 1969 to 1992. From 2004 to 2018, the building hosted an LNAH franchise that went by many names but was also called the Draveurs when it ceased operations. It is the home venue of the UQTR Patriotes university hockey team. Trois-Rivières (, – 'Three Rivers') is a city in the Mauricie administrative region of Quebec, Canada, at the confluence of the Saint-Maurice River, Saint-Maurice and Saint Lawrence River, Saint Lawrence rivers, on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River across from the city of Bécancour, Quebec, Bécancour. It is part of the densely populated Quebec City–Windsor Corridor and is approximately halfway between Montreal and Quebec City. Trois-Rivières is the economic and cultural hub of the Mauricie region. The new arena cost $60 million to construct with a planned opening of late 2020, but had no announced permanent tenants scheduled after UQTR declined the initial lease. The Trois-Rivières Draveurs (french: link=no, Les Draveurs de Trois-Rivières) were an ice hockey team based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. The team was part of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) and played at the Colisée de Trois-Rivières. The team started in Pont-Rouge, Quebec in 1996–97 as the Pont-Rouge Grand Portneuf and became the Pont-Rouge Caron & Guay in 2001–02 before moving to Trois-Rivières in 2004–05. The team was known as the Trois-Rivières Caron & Guay until the 2013–14 season when the team name was changed to the Trois-Rivières Vikings. Before the 2014–15 season, the name was changed again, to the Trois-Rivières Blizzard. The UQTR Patriotes are the athletic teams that represent the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. The university features teams in swimming, golf, hockey, soccer, cross-country, volleyball and cheerleading. Notably, the men's ice hockey team has won four University Cup national championships since the program was first established in 1969.
