Colin Walker (runner)
Colin Frederick Walker (born 29 October 1962) is an English former athlete who specialised in the 3000 metres steeplechase. Athletics career Walker represented Great Britain at the 1992 Olympic Games, at the World Championships in 1991 and 1993, and won a bronze medal representing England at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. Born in Stockton-on-Tees, Walker won the AAAs Championship title four times (1989, 1991–93) and the UK Championship The UK Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. It is one of snooker's prestigious Triple Crown events, along with the World Championship and the Masters. It is usually held at the Barbican Centre, York. Stockton-on-Tees
Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty. Athletics At The 1994 Commonwealth Games
At the 1994 Commonwealth Games, the athletics event were held in Victoria, BC, Canada, at the Centennial Stadium on the grounds of the University of Victoria. A total of 44 events were contested, of which 22 by male 19 by female athletes. Furthermore, 2 men's disability events were held within the programme. There were 126 medals decided in total with England topping the table with 36 medals in total. Australia were second with 22 and the host nation Canada came third with 15.
