Colin Valley Football Club is an Irish Intermediate Level Football club based in Poleglass, Belfast, currently playing in Division 1B of the Northern Amateur Football League. Colin Valley FC were crowned Champions of Division 1C in 2014 earning promotion to 1B where they have played for the last 4 seasons. Their reserve Team play in Division 3b after gaining promotion in 2017 and they have a third team playing in Division 1 of the Down Area Winter League. There are also now junior Teams at age levels u19, u17, u15, u13, u12, u11, u10 as well as having 3 Development teams for ages below this. The club was founded in 1995 and plays at Colin Valley Park. Club colours are now Sky Blue for the senior section - and Purple for the Junior Section. Northern Amateur Football League
The Northern Amateur Football League, also known as the Northern Amateur League and often simply as the Amateur League, is an association football league in Northern Ireland. It contains 13 divisions. These comprise four intermediate sections: the Premier Division, Division 1A, Division 1B and Division 1C; three junior sections: Division 2A, Division 2B and Division 2C; and six reserve sections. Poleglass
Poleglass () is an area of west Belfast in Northern Ireland. It is the name of a townland, a modern electoral ward, and a housing estate. The townland is situated in the civil parish of Derriaghy and the historic Barony of Belfast Upper. It is mainly an Irish nationalist area. Due to its proximity to both Belfast and Lisburn, it has become popular with commuters. This has led to the swift growth of housing in the area and a sharp rise in house prices. Addresses in Poleglass are classed as being in Belfast, and the telephone numbers in the area generally start with '90' as with the rest of Belfast. The Irish Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly referred to as the Irish Cup (currently known as the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup for sponsorship purposes) is the primary football knock-out cup competition in Northern Ireland. Inaugurated in 1881, it is the fourth-oldest national cup competition in the world. Prior to the break-away from the Irish Football Association by clubs from what would become the Irish Free State in 1921, the Irish Cup was the national cup competition for the whole of Ireland. Since 30 November 2021, the cup has been sponsored by ''Samuel Gelston's Irish Whiskey''.
