Colin Harrison (footballer)
Colin Harrison (born 18 March 1946 in Pelsall) is an English former football full back. He is best remembered for his time at Walsall where he held the record for the most Football League appearances made by any one player at the club until Jimmy Walker beat it. Career A product of the Walsall youth system, he signed for the club on amateur terms in June 1961 before turning professional on 13 November 1963. His league debut came in September 1964 against Southend United and in his early days at the club he was employed as a Utility player before settling into the role of full back. He established himself as first choice in that position for a number of years until suffering an injury in 1979 which saw him miss all but one of the league games in the 1979-80 season though he did make two substitute appearances also. Pelsall
Pelsall is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, West Midlands, England. Forming part of the borough's border with Staffordshire, Pelsall is located 4 miles north of central Walsall, midway between the towns of Bloxwich and Brownhills and 4 miles northwest of Aldridge. The southern edge of Cannock Chase is 6 miles to the north. Pelsall is also 8 miles southwest of Lichfield and 8 miles northeast of Wolverhampton. History Pelsall was first mentioned in a charter of 994, when it was among various lands given to the monastery at ''Heantune'' (Wolverhampton) by Wulfrun, a Mercian noblewoman. At this time it was called ''Peolshalh'', meaning 'a nook' or 'land between two streams belonging to Peol'. The Domesday entry of 1086 describes Pelsall as being waste, still belonging to the church. Walsall (, or ; locally ) is a market town and administrative centre in the West Midlands County, England. Southend United
Southend United Football Club is a professional association football club based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. James Barry Walker (born 9 July 1973) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Since 2013, Walker has been a goalkeeping coach at numerous clubs. Early life Walker was born on 9 July 1973 at 3.00am in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, weighing 7lbs 13oz. His father, Barry, was employed as a miner before working in an office, while his mother ran her own hairdressing salon. He has a younger sister, Elizabeth. When Walker was eleven years old, his parents divorced, and he continued to live with his mother. Within a year, his father married again to his step-mother, Hilary.
