Colin Gardner (academic)
Colin Gardner is a British film and media studies theorist living in Santa Barbara, California. Working at the intersection of film-philosophy, Deleuze and Guattari studies and interdisciplinary media theory, Gardner received his B.A. and M.A. in History from St. John's College, Cambridge and Ph.D. in Cinema Studies at UCLA before becoming Professor of Critical Theory and Integrative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he teaches in the Departments of Art, Film & Media Studies, Comparative Literature, and the History of Art and Architecture. Most recently Dr. Gardner has expanded his research into the area of Media Geography (he is currently adjunct faculty in Geography at San Diego State University). He also taught a course on transversality and popular media for the College of Creative Studies in Fall 2013. The College of Creative Studies is the smallest of the three undergraduate colleges at the University of California, Santa Barbara, unique within the University of California system in terms of structure and philosophy. Patricia MacCormack is an Australian scholar who lives and works in London, England. Currently she is Professor of Continental Philosophy in English and Media at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Rachel Khedoori (born 1964 in Sydney, Australia) is a contemporary artist of Iraqi Jewish heritage based in Los Angeles and known primarily for her mixed use of sculpture, film and architecture. Biography Khedoori was born in Sydney and raised in Australia. She is the identical twin sister of the artist Toba Khedoori, and the sister of David Khedoori.
