Colin Davies Rowe
Colin Davies Rowe (12 April 1911 – 2 August 1970) was a lawyer and politician in South Australia. He served as 37th Attorney-General of South Australia from 1955 to 1965. History He was born the eldest son Mr and Mrs. L. G. Rowe of "Rockleigh", Sandilands, about south-west of Ardrossan, and educated at Kadina High School and King's College, Adelaide, where he was head prefect for two consecutive years. He studied law at the University of Adelaide, gaining his LLB in 1934, and was admitted to the bar in December 1934 at the same ceremony as Roma Mitchell. He worked as a lawyer at Ardrossan, then set up in practice at Maitland in 1942. He was chairman of the Maitland Hospital Board, secretary of the Yorke Peninsula Local Government Association, and secretary of the Ardrossan Hospital. Brighton, South Australia
Brighton is a coastal suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, situated between Seacliff and Glenelg and aside Holdfast Bay. Some notable features of the area are the Brighton-Seacliff Yacht Club, the Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club, the Brighton Jetty, and a beach. The Windsor Theatre, constructed in 1925, is a long-standing institution. History The Kaurna people inhabited the area before British colonisation of South Australia. Keith Russack
Edwin Keith Russack (2 April 1918 – 26 February 1999) known as Keith Russack, was a politician in the State of South Australia. History Russack was born at Kadina, South Australia, the youngest son of Alfred Hermann Russack (1879 – 5 November 1951) and his wife Rosa. A. H. Russack was a jeweller who had served his apprenticeship with J. M. Wendt, and Keith trained as a watchmaker and was employed at his father's business in Kadina. He enlisted with the 2nd AIF early in 1940 and saw action in South-east Asia. He maintained his involvement with the military, and in 1952 was Captain of C Company 27th Infantry Battalion (South Australian Scottish Regiment). By 1953 he had two jewellery and gift stores in Kadina. Originally created for the Finniss Ministry on 24 October 1856, there were 63 holders of the public works portfolio. Donald Allan Dunstan (21 September 1926 – 6 February 1999) was an Australian politician who served as the 35th premier of South Australia from 1967 to 1968, and again from 1970 to 1979.
