Colin Bell (footballer, Born 1946)
Colin Bell (26 February 1946 – 5 January 2021) was an English professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Bell, known for his thirteen-year spell at Manchester City, is regarded as one of the club's greatest-ever players, and was part of the Bell–Lee– Summerbee trio in the late 1960s and 1970s. Bell made 48 appearances for the England national football team; he was an unused squad member at UEFA Euro 1968 and played in three matches at the 1970 FIFA World Cup. During his playing career, he was nicknamed "The King of the Kippax" (after Maine Road's Kippax Street terraced stand renowned for its singing) and Nijinsky (after the famous racehorse, due to his renowned stamina). In 2004, the West Stand of City of Manchester Stadium was later named in his honour. Club career Bell began his career at Bury where he was swiftly made club captain. Colin Bell (born 5 August 1961) is an English football manager and former player, who is managing the China U-20 women. He previously coached the South Korea women's national team when he led the team to the 2022 Women's Asian Cup where his team finished runner ups to China. He earned reputation when he won the 2014–15 UEFA Women's Champions League with 1. FFC Frankfurt. Colin is originally from Leicestershire and has 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Colin J. Bell (1 April 1938 – 9 October 2021) was a Scottish journalist, broadcaster and author. Bell was educated at St Paul's School, London, and King's College, Cambridge, where he graduated in 1959 with a first-class degree in the Historical Tripos. He went on to become a journalist with various newspapers, including ''The Scotsman'', and was once editor of ''The Scots Independent''. He made the transition to broadcasting with BBC Radio Scotland in 1984. Bell served the Scottish National Party (SNP) as Executive Vice-Chairman from 1978 to 1984, and was the party's Campaign Director for the European Parliament elections in 1984. In 1979 he stood as SNP Parliamentary Candidate for Edinburgh West, and also as the European Parliamentary Candidate for North East Scotland that same year. Colin Bell (born 17 February 1979 in Poudre d'Or) is a Mauritian footballer who plays for Pamplemousses SC in the Mauritian League and internationally for the Mauritius national football team. Colin John Bell (born 18 May 1941) is a former Australian politician who was a Liberal Party member of the Legislative Council of Western Australia from 1983 to 1989, representing Lower West Province. Bell was born in Bunbury, and attended Bunbury Senior High School. A dairy farmer at Capel before entering politics, he served several terms as president of the dairy section of the Primary Industry Association and also on the board of the Australia Dairy Corporation.
