Colin Banton
Colin Banton (born 15 September 1969) is a South African born former English cricketer. Banton was a right-handed batsman. He was born in Fish Hoek, Cape Province. Banton made his first-class debut for Nottinghamshire in 1995. He made 6 further first-class appearances for the county that season, the last coming against Warwickshire in the County Championship. In his 7 first-class appearances for Nottinghamshire, he scored 292 runs at a batting average of 29.20, with 2 half centuries and a high score of 80 *. His highest score came on debut against Cambridge University. In that same season he made his List A debut for the county against Lancashire in the 1995 Benson & Hedges Cup. Thomas Banton (born 11 November 1998) is an English cricketer. He made his international debut for the England cricket team in November 2019. Domestic and franchise career Banton made his Twenty20 cricket debut for Somerset in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast on 16 July 2017. He made his first-class debut for Somerset in the 2018 County Championship on 18 September 2018. In 2019, he became a regular in all three formats, scoring two centuries in Somerset's victorious Royal London One-Day Cup campaign as well as a maiden T20 century against Kent in the Vitality Blast. Banton was signed by Brisbane Heat in the Australian Big Bash League for the 2019/20 season. Middlesex County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. Devon County Cricket Club (Devon Cricket) is one of 20 minor county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Devon. The team is currently a member of the National Counties Championship Western Division Two and plays in the NCCA Knockout Trophy. The National Counties Cricket Association Knockout Cup was started in 1983 as a knockout one-day competition for the National Counties in English cricket. At first it was known as the ''English Industrial Estates Cup'', before being called the ''Minor Counties Knock Out Competition'' from 1986 to 1987, the ''Holt Cup'' from 1988 to 1992, the ''MCC Trophy'' from 1993 to 1998, the ''ECB 38-County Cup'' from 1999 to 2002, the ''MCCA Knockout Trophy'' from 2003 to 2005. It has been called the ''MCCA Trophy'' since 2006 until its current rebranding in 2020. From 1998 to 2002, the competition was contested by 38 teams and included a group stage. Essex County Cricket Club
Essex County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Essex. Founded in 1876, the club had minor county status until 1894 when it was promoted to first-class status pending its entry into the County Championship in 1895, since then the team has played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England.
