Cole Beaudoin
Cole Beaudoin (born April 24, 2006) is a Canadian ice hockey forward for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) as a prospect to the Utah Hockey Club of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 24th overall by Utah in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career On April 20, 2022, Beaudoin was drafted tenth overall by the Barrie Colts in the 2022 OHL Draft. On June 3, 2022, he signed with the Colts. During the 2022–23 season with the Barrie Colts he recorded eight goals and 12 assists in 63 games. During the 2023–24 season, he recorded 28 goals and 34 assists in 67 games. On June 28, 2024, Beaudoin was drafted 24th overall by the Utah Hockey Club in the 2024 NHL entry draft, becoming the team's second ever selection in franchise history. He was later signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Utah Hockey Club on July 22, 2024. Canada Men's National Under-18 Ice Hockey Team
The Canadian men's national under 18 ice hockey team is part of a three-stage Program of Excellence beginning with the Under-17 regional teams and ending with the National Junior Team. The primary objectives of the Under-18 program are to identify, evaluate, and condition players to the rigors of international competition by giving first exposure to off-shore officiating, ice-surfaces, and travel. A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal.
