''Coffin from Hong Kong'' (german: Ein Sarg aus Hongkong) is a 1964 West German thriller film directed by Manfred R. Köhler and starring Heinz Drache, Elga Andersen and Ralf Wolter. It is based on the 1962 novel of the same title by James Hadley Chase. The film's sets were designed by the art director Nino Borghi. Location shooting took place in Hong Kong and London. ''Manfred: A dramatic poem'' is a closet drama written in 1816–1817 by Lord Byron. It contains supernatural elements, in keeping with the popularity of the ghost story in England at the time. It is a typical example of a Gothic fiction. Byron commenced this work in late 1816, a few months after the famous ghost-story sessions with Percy Bysshe Shelley and Mary Shelley that provided the initial impetus for '' Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus ''. The supernatural references are made clear throughout the poem. Willy Birgel (19 September 1891 – 29 December 1973), born Wilhelm Maria Birgel, was a German theatre and film actor. Career Birgel began his acting career before World War I on the stage in his native city of Cologne, and came to movies rather late. He was about 43 years old before he got his first major film role as the English Camp Commandant in Paul Wegener's ''Ein Mann will nach Deutschland'' (roughly translated ''A German Wants to Get to Germany'' or ''A German Wants to Go Home''). This UFA-production that premiered on 26 July 1934, portrays a German engineer living in South America who hears in 1914 of war in Europe. Realising his obligation to his ''Fatherland'', he sets out for Europe, joined by a German comrade. Michael George Bulmer FRS (born 10 May 1931) is a British biostatistician. He is an emeritus fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of London. He is known for his work in quantitative genetics and on the biology of twinning, as well as for his 2003 biography of Francis Galton. Biography Bulmer was born in Birmingham, England, in 1931.
