Cody Mauch
Cody Mauch (born January 15, 1999) is an American football guard for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Dakota State. Early years Mauch was born on January 15, 1999, in Breckenridge, Minnesota. His parents live in Hankinson, North Dakota, where he attended Hankinson High School and played basketball, baseball, and football. When he was in the seventh grade, he lost his two front teeth while diving for a loose ball in a basketball game. He finished his high school career with 1,072 receiving yards and scored a school-record 24 touchdowns. In his senior season, Mauch had 24 catches for 474 yards and 13 touchdowns, rushed for 398 yards and four touchdowns, passed for 273 yards and four touchdowns and also had 18.5 sacks on defense in nine games. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Walter Payton Award
The Walter Payton Award is awarded annually to the most outstanding offensive player in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) of college football as chosen by a nationwide panel of media and college sports information directors. The honor was first given in 1987 to the outstanding player in the division, but in 1995, eligibility was restricted to offensive players, as the Buck Buchanan Award for defensive players was inaugurated. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. The MSU Moorhead Dragons (also MSUM Dragons and formerly Moorhead State Dragons) are the athletic teams that represent Minnesota State University Moorhead, located in Moorhead, Minnesota, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Dragons generally compete as members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for all 14 varsity sports. The North Dakota Fighting Hawks represent the University of North Dakota, competing as a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) in the NCAA Division I's Football Championship Subdivision.
