Cody (TV Series)
''Cody'' is a series of six Australian telemovies starring Gary Sweet that were made for the Seven Network in 1994 and 1995. Sweet played the title character Cody, an unconventional police detective,Ed. Scott Murray, ''Australia on the Small Screen 1970–1995'', Oxford Uni Press, 1996 p28 described by Screen Australia as a "larrikin cop, on the trail of crimes". Plot Cody (Gary Sweet) is a Sydney-based police detective, with Fiorelli (Robert Mammone) as his partner and Inspector Genevieve Simmonds (Heather Mitchell) as their superior. Andrew Prowse
Andrew Prowse was an Australian editor, writer and director of film and television. He was nominated for Best Editing at the 1986 AFI Awards for ''Playing Beatie Bow''. Prowse was also co-producer of the 2014 telemovie '' INXS: Never Tear Us Apart''. Prowse died in December 2018. Frankie J
Francisco Javier Bautista Jr. (born December 7, 1975), better known by his stage name Frankie J, is a Mexican-American singer and former member of the musical group Kumbia Kings. Born in Mexico, he grew up in San Diego and became a freestyle artist under the stage name Frankie Boy in the late 1990s. He then joined Kumbia Kings before re-embarking on a solo career. Frankie J's solo debut album, '' What's a Man to Do'', was released in 2003, followed by more English and Spanish language albums. He received a Grammy Award nomination for his album ''Faith, Hope y Amor'' in 2013 for Best Latin Pop Album. The AACTA Award for Best Miniseries or Telefeature is an award that has been handed out to producers annually since 1986 by the Australian Film Institute (AFI), since 2011 the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA). History The award was originally presented by the AFI in two separate categories, for "Best Telefeature" and "Best Mini Series", but in 1990 both categories were merged to form Best Television Mini Series or Telefeature. By 2008 the award name was changed again, to AFI Award for Best Telefeature, Mini Series or Short Run Series. William John Hunter (27 February 194021 May 2011) was an Australian actor of film, stage and television, who was also prominent as a voice-over artist. He appeared in more than 60 films and won two AFI Awards. He was also a recipient of the Centenary Medal. Early life Hunter was born in Ballarat, Victoria, the son of William and Francie Hunter. He had a brother, John, and a sister, Marie Ann. Alexandra "Ally" Fowler (born 6 December 1961) is an Australian actress and singer. She is known for her roles as Angela Hamilton in '' Sons and Daughters'' (1982–84) and Zoe Davis in ''Neighbours'' (1986); both series were produced by the Grundy Organisation, and in 1985, she was cast in another Grundy serial, ''Possession'', just before that series was cancelled.
