Coco Electrik is an electropop band and musical alias of Australian (now UK based) singer, musician and songwriter Anne Booty and producer Paul Harrison aka Royal Appointment. History Coco Electrik first surfaced with ''Your Love Is Gum'', a split single with then label mate Tom Vek. A series of acclaimed singles followed on Tummy Touch Records and Anne's own label, Oscillation Records. In 2007 they released debut album ''Army Behind The Sun''. She has also lent vocals to Acoustic Ladyland's much praised ''Cuts & Lies'' single from their album Skinny Grin, been featured on the soundtrack to The Coen Brother's Burn After Reading and cult Australian drama Underbelly and remixed by Brooklyn wunderkind Kotchy and The Phenomenal Handclap Band as well as being remixed by, amongst others, Mickey Moonlight (Ed Banger Records) and Skylab. Lo Recordings
Lo Recordings is a label founded in 1995 by Jon Tye. They are noted for their strong visual style thanks to Non-Format, with whom they work very closely and won a D&AD award for several of their releases sleeves. Musical style Lo recordings mainly specialize in left-field electronic music with artists such as Grimes, Black Devil and Susumu Yokota, Fischerspooner amongst many others. This is reflected in the company's motto that reads "Lo Recordings - Provider of quality esoteric music since 1995". Along with electronic music Lo Recordings has also been known to release various other genres. This is exemplified by bands such as The Chap who have three albums on Lo with one forthcoming expected in mid-2012. Black Devil, or Black Devil Disco Club, is an electronic disco music project by Bernard Fevre, a French musician who also released synthesizer compositions on library music albums under his own name and under the alias Milpatte. ''Disco Club'' The first Black Devil release was the relatively obscure ''Disco Club'' six-track EP in 1978. The actual artist name and album title are ambiguous; releases, reviews, and even the official artist and label websites use "Black Devil" and "Black Devil Disco Club" interchangeably. Songwriting credits on the EP named Junior Claristidge and Joachim Sherylee, aliases for Bernard Fevre and Jacky Giordano, respectively. In a 2007 interview, Fevre explained that Giordano's role was not musical; he just financed the recordings, and the co-writing credit was a way of recouping that investment. The Horrors are an English rock band formed in Southend-on-Sea in 2005, consisting of lead vocalist Faris Badwan, guitarist Joshua Hayward, keyboardist and synthesizer player Tom Furse, bassist Rhys Webb, and drummer and percussionist Joe Spurgeon. "Sex Shooter" is the debut single by Apollonia 6, released as a single in 1984. It appears on Apollonia 6 (album), the group's only album. The song reached the top 20 of the US R&B Chart and was written and produced by Prince (musician), Prince. ''Slide'' (styled as ''SLiDE'') is an Australian teen drama series which premiered on the Fox8 subscription television channel and aired from 16 August to 18 October 2011. The series followed the lives of five teenagers making their way into adulthood in the city of Brisbane. FOX8 confirmed in February 2012 a second season was not commissioned.
