Cockamamie Business
''Cockamamie'' is the debut album from Boston-based musician Jen Trynin. First released in 1994, the album failed to do well on the charts when re-released by Warner Bros. Records in 1995, in spite of positive reviews. The track "Better Than Nothing" was released as a single from the album. The story of how this album came to be and the process regarding its release on Warner Bros. is chronicled in Trynin's 2006 book '' Everything I'm Cracked Up to Be''. Jen Trynin
Jennifer Trynin (born 1963), is an American singer-songwriter and author from Boston, Massachusetts. Career She recorded her debut album '' Cockamamie'' in 1994 while running her own desktop publishing business. The track "Better Than Nothing" received considerable airplay on alternative rock radio stations across the United States. She later released her second album, '' Gun Shy Trigger Happy'', in 1997. Trynin would later release a book entitled '' Everything I'm Cracked Up to Be'' in 2006 about her experience in the music industry. Trynin played guitar for Dave Wanamaker's band Loveless, who released an album, '' Gift to the World'', in 2003. After Loveless broke up, she took a break from music to raise her daughter. In 2015, Trynin formed the band Cujo and began playing semi-regularly at small clubs in and around Boston. ''Raising Buchanan'' is a 2019 American comedy film produced by Amanda Melby, Joe Gruberman, Chadwick Struck and Cathy Shim, written and directed by Bruce Dellis. The film stars René Auberjonois in the role of the title character, James Buchanan, the 15th president of the United States, and was his final role released in his lifetime. He died in December, 2019. The film was Bruce Dellis' first full-length feature. ''Raising Buchanan'' was filmed in and near Phoenix, Arizona. Aimee Mann
Aimee Elizabeth Mann (born September 8, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter. Over the course of four decades, she has released more than a dozen albums as a solo artist and with other musicians. She is noted for her sardonic and literate lyrics about dark subjects. Her work with the producer Jon Brion in the 1990s was influential on American alternative music. Mann was born in Richmond, Virginia, and studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In the 1980s, after playing with the Young Snakes and Ministry, she co-founded the new wave band 'Til Tuesday and wrote their top-ten single " Voices Carry" (1985). Dave Gregory (musician)
David Charles Gregory (born 21 September 1952) is an English guitarist from Swindon, best known for his work with the rock band XTC. He was a member of the group between the single " Life Begins at the Hop" (1979) and early sessions for the album '' Apple Venus Volume 1'' (1999), contributing guitar, keyboards, and occasional string arrangements. Career In '76/'77, before XTC Gregory was lead guitarist for Dave Heap's Forest of Dean based band, Gogmagog along with Jim Leach on keyboard. He joined XTC as guitarist immediately prior to the recording of the ''Drums and Wires'' LP in 1979, when he replaced Barry Andrews, eventually leaving the band in 1999. He also contributed keyboards and backing vocals to their work. In the field of recorded music, a hidden track (sometimes called a ghost track, secret track or unlisted track) is a song or a piece of audio that has been placed on a CD, audio cassette, LP record, or other recorded medium, in such a way as to avoid detection by the casual listener.
