Cock Robin (album)
''Cock Robin'' is the first album by American band Cock Robin and was released in 1985. It was a Top 10 hit album in numerous European countries whereas it charted only at #61 in the United States Top 75. The singles "When Your Heart Is Weak" and "The Promise You Made" met with the most success in Europe, and still get regular airplay on adult contemporary and pop music stations in countries like France, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. The music video to "When Your Heart Is Weak" was directed by Chris Gabrin, and filmed in the California desert Joshua Tree National Park (home of guitarist Clive Wright, former member of the group) in May 1985. Cock Robin is an American pop rock band, mostly popular in the 1980s, particularly in continental Europe, where it achieved major success, notably with the single "The Promise You Made". The band was founded by singer-songwriter Peter Kingsbery in 1982, disbanded in 1990, and reformed in 2006. David Sanborn
David William Sanborn (born July 30, 1945) is an American alto saxophonist. Though Sanborn has worked in many genres, his solo recordings typically blend jazz with instrumental pop and R&B. He released his first solo album ''Taking Off'' in 1975, but has been playing the saxophone since before he was in high school. One of the most commercially successful American saxophonists to earn prominence since the 1980s, Sanborn is described by critic Scott Yannow as "the most influential saxophonist on pop, R&B, and crossover players of the past 20 years." He is often identified with radio-friendly smooth jazz, but he has expressed a disinclination for the genre and his association with it. Lee Patrick Mastelotto (born September 10, 1955) is an American rock drummer and record producer. He has been a member of King Crimson, Stick Men, Mr. Mister and O.R.k., as well as working as a session drummer with XTC, The Pointer Sisters and The Rembrandts, among others. Roland GR-300
The Roland GR-300 is a guitar synthesizer manufactured by Roland Corporation. The GR-300 was considered the first "playable" guitar synthesizer. (Its predecessor, the GR-500, was plagued with tracking problems that rendered it virtually unplayable.) The GR-300 had no MIDI and could only be played through a GR-300 series guitar controller. The actual synthesizer module sat on the floor and had the rugged appearance of a large guitar-type foot pedal (complete with carrying handles). It featured 6-voice polyphony, one voice per string and 2 oscillators per voice. Each pair of VCOs were harmonically locked to each string but could be tuned separately to play different pitches. Lou Molino III
Louis Molino III (known as Lou Molino; born in Philadelphia) is an American drummer. He is best known for many years working with Trevor Rabin. He was also a member of Cock Robin and Yoso with Bobby Kimball, Billy Sherwood, Tony Kaye and Jimmy Haun. His first major band was Cock Robin, who released their debut album in 1985.
