Cobra (1991 Film)
''Cobra'' is a 1991 Pakistani Punjabi-language action thriller film directed by Shahid Rana and produced by Malik Saleem, starring Sultan Rahi, Gori, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Nadira, Abid Ali, Asif Khan and Humayun Qureshi. The film is a remake of 1978's Indian film ''Don'', starring Amitabh Bachchan. Sultan Rahi portrays dual roles as Cobra and Stuntman Akbar Khan. Synopsis Inspector Khan ( Abid Ali) is in pursuit of crime boss Cobra ( Sultan Rahi) and his gang. When Cobra gets killed in a police encounter, Inspector Khan trains his lookalike to pose as gang boss and help nab his gang. Sultan Rahi
Sultan Rahi ( ur, ﺳﻠﻄﺎﻥ ﺭﺍﮨﯽ ; June 24, 1938 – January 9, 1996) was a Pakistani actor, producer and screenwriter. He established himself as one of the leading and most successful actors of Pakistani and Punjabi cinema, and received a reputation as Pakistan's "Clint Eastwood". During a career spanning 40 years, he acted in some 703 Punjabi films and 100 Urdu films, winning around 160 awards. Rahi earned two Nigar Awards for his work in ''Babul'' (1971) and ''Basheera'' (1972). In 1975 he portrayed the character of Maula Jatt in ''Wehshi Jatt'', winning his third Nigar Award. Salma Agha ( ur, ; born 25 October 1956) is a British singer and actress who worked in Pakistani and Indian films in the 1980s and the early 1990s. She was born in Karachi and raised in London, where she received several film offers from Indian directors. Naghma Begum, or just Naghma (born 25 March 1945), is a Pakistani actress. She has worked in more than 350 Urdu and Punjabi movies from 1960 to 2018. In 2000, she was honoured with the "Lifetime Achievement Nigar Award" for her 50 years long acting career.
