Joseph Henabery
Joseph Henabery (January 15, 1888 – February 18, 1976) of Omaha, Nebraska, was a film actor, screenplay writer, and director in the United States. He is best known for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in D.W. Griffith's controversial 1915 silent historical epic ''The Birth of a Nation''. Early years Henabery was born in Omaha and raised in Los Angeles. He began acting as an amateur in California. Before he worked in films, Henabery worked for the San Pedro, Los Angeles, Salt Lake Railroad. When he was 25 years old, he became an extra for Universal Pictures. Career Henabery's acting career began in ''The Joke on Yellentown'' (1914). From 1914 to 1917 he appeared in seventeen films, including his portrayal of Lincoln in ''The Birth of a Nation''. Natacha Rambova (born Winifred Kimball Shaughnessy; January 19, 1897 – June 5, 1966) was an American film costume designer, set designer, and occasional actress who was active in Hollywood in the 1920s. In her later life, she abandoned design to pursue other interests, specifically Egyptology, a subject on which she became a published scholar in the 1950s. Rambova was born into a prominent family in Salt Lake City who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rosa Rosanova (June 23, 1869 – May 29, 1944) was a Russian-born stage and film actress. She appeared in numerous American films as a starring or supporting actress in the 1920s and 1930s Biography Born in Russia, Rosanova completed her schooling at age 16 in Moscow. Eileen Percy
Eileen Percy (August 1902 – 29 July 1973) was an Irish-born American actress of the silent era. She appeared in more than 60 films between 1917 and 1933. Biography Born in Belfast in August 1902, Percy lived in Brooklyn, New York, briefly in 1903 before returning to Belfast. She came back to Brooklyn at age nine, entering a convent there. After graduating from the convent, she became a model for artists, including Charles Dana Gibson. Some of the pictures for which she posed were used for magazine covers. After her film career ended, Percy became a staff correspondent for the ''Pittsburgh Post-Gazette''. In 1919, Percy married Ulrich Busch. They divorced in 1930. Her second husband from 1936 was songwriter Harry Ruby. She died in Los Angeles, California, in 1973. Her remains are buried at Chapel of the Pines Crematory.
