Coahoma is a town in Coahoma County, Mississippi, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 229. History Coahoma was founded in the 1880s, and named for its location within Coahoma County. Coahoma was a stop on the Mississippi Delta Railroad, completed in 1884. Geography Coahoma is north of Friar Point Road, west of U.S. Route 61 and east of the town of Friars Point on the Mississippi River. The United States census of 2010 was the twenty-third United States national census. National Census Day, the reference day used for the census, was April 1, 2010. The census was taken via mail-in citizen self-reporting, with enumerators serving to spot-check randomly selected neighborhoods and communities.
