Coady Willis
Coady Willis is an American drummer and a member of Big Business, High on Fire, White Shit, and the Melvins. He previously played in the bands Dead Low Tide, Broadcast Oblivion, and The Murder City Devils. Willis and Big Business bandmate Jared Warren both appear on the Melvins' albums '' (A) Senile Animal'', '' Nude with Boots'' and '' The Bride Screamed Murder'' and have officially been members of the band since moving to Los Angeles in January 2006. He also sometimes plays drums in the live incarnation of Dale Crover's side project Altamont (also his bandmate and fellow drummer in The Melvins). Melvins
Melvins (sometimes The Melvins) are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington. Their early work was key to the development of both grunge and sludge metal. Initially, they performed as a trio but later also sometimes appeared as a quartet, with either two drummers or two bassists. Since 1984, vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover have been constant members. The band was named after a supervisor at a Thriftway in Montesano, where Osborne also worked as a clerk; "Melvin" was disliked by other employees, and the band's members felt it to be an appropriately ridiculous name. ''Basses Loaded'' is the 21st album by American rock band Melvins, released on June 3, 2016, through Ipecac Recordings. It features every member that has been a part of the Melvins over the previous decade, centered around the many bass guitar players to have passed through the band. Steven Shane McDonald of Redd Kross makes his debut with the Melvins, while Nirvana co-founder Krist Novoselic makes a guest appearance. Nine songs from the album were previously released through Amphetamine Reptile Records on two limited edition EPs (''Beer Hippy'' and ''War Pussy'') and in a split-release with Le Butcherettes (''Chaos as Usual''). ''Everybody Loves Sausages'' is an album of cover songs by the Melvins, released on April 30, 2013. In similar fashion to ''The Crybaby'' it features guests on most of the tracks and even features the Melvins Lite on three tracks. Three of the tracks had been previously released in splits. Black Betty previously appeared on a split 7-inch with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion covering the same track. Female Trouble and Carpe Diem are featured on a split 12-inch with Redd Kross. A nine-part 7-inch Tribute series was released through Amphetamine Reptile Records between 2013 and 2015. Featuring ten songs from the album, seven of them featured bonus cover songs of each respective band.
