Clwyd Constituencies
Seven constituencies cover Clwyd. They are county constituencies (CCs) (for type of returning officer and election expenses) of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament (Westminster), and are used also for elections to the Senedd. The current boundaries have been effective since the 2007 National Assembly for Wales election and the 2010 United Kingdom general election. Clwyd is one of the eight preserved counties of Wales. As currently defined, the preserved county consists of the principal areas of Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. For Senedd elections, constituencies are grouped into additional member electoral regions, and changes to constituency boundaries mean, also, changes to regional boundaries. Mark Tami
Mark Richard Tami (born 3 October 1962) is a Welsh Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Alyn and Deeside since 2001. Early life Born in Enfield, north London, Tami was educated at Enfield Grammar School (by then a comprehensive school), and graduated in history at the University of Wales, Swansea. He was previously National Head of Policy of the union Amicus (previously the Amalgamated Engineering and Electrical Union. Parliamentary career Tami was first elected as MP for Alyn and Deeside in 2001 with a majority of 9,222, following the decision of the seat's former MP Stephen Barry Jones to step down from Parliament. Tami was returned again as MP for Alyn and Deeside at the 2005 general election, with a reduced majority. Robin Millar (politician)
Robin John Millar (born 15 October 1968) is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Aberconwy since the 2019 general election. Early life and education Robin Millar was born in Bangor in 1968, where his father was chairman of the Conwy Conservative Association. Millar went to Ysgol Friars School, then studied civil engineering at UMIST and later moved to Suffolk to support his wife’s work as an equine veterinary nurse. While living there he worked as a civil engineer in Cambridge, Russia, the Netherlands and the USA. He later set up Millar Consulting helping to transform public services, local government and membership organisations. Boundary Commissions (United Kingdom)
The boundary commissions in the United Kingdom are non-departmental public bodies responsible for determining the boundaries of constituencies for elections to the House of Commons. There are four boundary commissions: * Boundary Commission for England * Boundary Commission for Scotland * Boundary Commission for Wales * Boundary Commission for Northern Ireland Each commission comprises four members, three of whom take part in meetings. The Speaker of the House of Commons is ''ex officio'' chairman of each of the boundary commissions. However, the Speaker does not play any part in proceedings, and a Justice is appointed to each boundary commission as Deputy Chairman Commissioner. The Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) is the body responsible for the operation of His Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO) and of other public information services of the United Kingdom. In the United Kingdom, a member of Parliament (MP) is an individual elected to serve in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The Vale of Clwyd ( cy, Dyffryn Clwyd) is a constituency of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament created in 1997 and represented since 2019 by James Davies of the Conservative Party. Delyn (UK Parliament Constituency)
Delyn is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Rob Roberts, who was elected as a Conservative, but currently sits as an Independent following sexual harassment allegations.
