Aratula is a rural town and locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Aratula had a population of 532 people. Geography Aratula is approximately by road southwest of Ipswich. The Cunningham Highway enters the locality from the north-east ( Fassifern), passes through the town, and exits to the south ( Mount Edwards). Warrill Creek enters the locality from the west ( Tarome), flows across the north of the locality (and north of the town), exiting to the east ( Morwincha). Mount Edwards Railway Line
The Mount Edwards railway line was a branch railway in the Scenic Rim region of South East Queensland, Australia. The lines serves a number of small towns in the Fassifern Valley. The first stage of the Mount Edwards line opened from Munbilla to Engelsburg (now Kalbar) on 17 April 1916, but the next stage to Mount Edwards was not completed until 7 October 1922. The line closed on 1 November 1960. Geography The 25 km long line branched off the Dugandan line at the rural locality of Munbilla 38 km south of the city of Ipswich. Maryvale Railway Line
The Maryvale railway line was a branch railway in the Southern Downs region of Queensland, Australia. Maryvale Estate to the north east of Warwick was purchased by the government and subdivided into farms. A branch line to service the region was approved in 1908. Opened on 30 September 1911, the line branched from the Southern main line at Killarney Junction (now named Mill Hill) and stretched about 30 kilometres to Maryvale via Womina, Sladevale, Campbell's Plains, Freestone, Clintonvale and Gladfield. The line was intended to be part of a ''via recta'' (Latin, "straight route") from Brisbane to Sydney. The Scenic Rim Region is a local government area in West Moreton region of South East Queensland, Australia. Established in 2008, it was preceded by several previous local government areas with histories extending back to the early 1900s and beyond. The main town of the region is Beaudesert. Tregony, Queensland
Tregony is a locality in the Southern Downs Region, Queensland, Australia. It is one of the major gateways to the Darling Downs from the Queensland coast. Geography The eastern part of Tregony is the Main Range National Park on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range (rising up to 1160 metres). From there Gap Creek rises and flows west, eventually becoming a tributary of Glengallan Creek, then the Condamine River and eventually the Murray-Darling River through New South Wales and South Australia.
