Club Universidad Nacional A.C. Premier was a professional football team that played in the Mexican Football League. They were playing in the Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier (Mexico's Third Division). Club Universidad Nacional A.C. Premier was affiliated with Club Universidad Nacional who plays in the Liga MX. The games was held in the Mexico City neighborhood of Coyoacán in the Estadio La Cantera. In June 2020, this team was discontinued due to the creation of Pumas Tabasco, a team that plays in the Liga de Expansión MX and which was made up of UNAM Premier players. Coyoacán
Coyoacán ( , ) is a borough (''demarcación territorial'') in Mexico City. The former village is now the borough's "historic center". The name comes from Nahuatl and most likely means "place of coyotes", when the Aztecs named a pre-Hispanic village on the southern shore of Lake Texcoco dominated by the Tepanec people. The Liga Premier is the third tier of Association football, football in Mexico within the Mexican football league system that governs Serie A de México, Serie A and Serie B de México, Serie B leagues/group competitions. The Mexican football league system is organized by the Mexican Football Federation, except for the Liga MX and the Ascenso MX that are organized independently; The tournaments consist of five levels, male and female professional levels. In addition to having the Copa MX which is also organized independently to the Femexfut. Men Liga MX, known as the ''Primera División'' (First Division) before the 2012–13 season, is the highest level of Mexican football and consists of 18 clubs. Pumas Tabasco is a Mexican professional football club based in Villahermosa. Founded in 2020, Pumas Tabasco is the official reserve team of Club Universidad Nacional and is part of the Liga de Expansión MX, the second professional football division of the Mexican football league system.
