Club Olympique de Kélibia ( ar, النادي الأولمبي القليبي), known as COK, is a Tunisian volleyball club founded in 1957 and formalized on 10 March 1959. History It begins to shine from the 1959–1960 season during which It reaches the semi-finals of the Tunisian men's volleyball cup and wins the division 3 championship with a formation including Savior Mazzara, Abdelkader Ben Nasr, Hamadi Ben Sheikh, Mahmoud Ben Sheikh and Hamouda Ben Messaoud. In 1963–1964, It was second in the play-offs and entered division 1. Club based primarily on volleyball, wholly owns 16 categories (men and women) and has 452 licensees (boys and girls), 10% of the number of Tunisian national teams. Kélibia
Kelibia (Kélibia) ( ar, قليبية, link=no '), often referred to as Klibia or Gallipia by European writers, is a coastal town on the Cap Bon peninsula, Nabeul Governorate in the far north-eastern part of Tunisia. Its sand beaches are considered some of the finest in the Mediterranean. History Known in Roman times as Clypia or Clupea, ( grc, Κλυπέα) the town was founded by the Carthaginians as the fortified town of Aspis ( grc, Ἀσπίς) in the 5th century BC. The Siege of Aspis in 255BC was the first African battle of the First Punic War. Clupea was also the seat of an ancient Christian bishopric. At the Council of Carthage (411), which brought together Catholic and Donatist bishops, Clypia was represented by Bishop Leodicius and the Donatist Geminius. Tunisian Men's Volleyball League
The Tunisian Volleyball League is the highest level of men's volleyball in Tunisia and it is organized by Tunisian Volleyball Federation. Tunisia Volleyball League is currently contested by 12 clubs since the season 2018-19. The regular season is played by 12 teams, playing each other twice, once at home and once away from home. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
