Club Social y Deportivo Jalisco, A.C. is a Mexican Association football, football team. The team was founded on 1970 and returned on 2015. History In 1970 a group of sugar businessmen acquired C.D. Oro and renamed it as Club Jalisco. The team stayed 10 seasons in the Liga MX, First Division from 1970 until 1980. In its trajectory, the team could never reach the championship phase. In 1980, the team finished in the last place of the competition, had to play a relegation playoff, the series was against Unión de Curtidores, Jalisco was defeated by an aggregate score of 4–3 and so, the club was relegated to Liga Premier de México, Segunda División. For the 1983-84 season, Jalisco reached the final of the second division, finally defeated by the Club Atlético Zacatepec, Zacatepec with an aggregate of 3–1. The Liga TDP is Mexico's fourth tier in the Mexican League System. The Liga TDP is divided into 17 groups. For the 2009/2010 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group. CD Oro
Club Deportivo Oro is a football club that plays in the second division. It is based in the city of Guadalajara. The club was one of five clubs from the state of Jalisco to play in the Mexican first division. It only won one league title, back in 1962, and was runner-up five times in 1947, 1953, 1955, 1960 and 1964. After four years of absence the club was reformed and plays now in the second division. History Origins The club's history dates back to 1923, when a group of jewelers got together and founded the club to promote their company. The club joined the old Liga Occidental De Jalisco. Albino Ruvalcaba and Felipe Martínez Sandoval were the ones that really took on the idea of making this club worthy of playing in the first division. The Serie A has 33 teams (1 Liga MX Reserve Team, 3 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 29 Serie A Teams) divided into two groups. For the 2022–23 season, it will be a return of two short tournaments consisting of 10 total matches played home & away and the liguilla. The top 2 teams & two 3rd-place teams from each group at the end of each Torneo will play in the Liguilla for a spot to play for promotion to Liga de Expansión MX provided that their stadiums meet the requirements to ascend. The Deportivo CAFESSA Jalisco, commonly known as CAFESSA Jalisco, is a Mexican football club based in Guadalajara. The club was founded in 2015, and currently plays in the Serie A of Liga Premier. History Deportivo CAFESSA was founded in 2015 from a Third Division franchise called Cazcanes de Ameca, during its first season it kept the original name. In 2016 it took its current name. During its first two seasons, the team stayed in Ameca having as its ground the Núcleo Deportivo y de Espectáculos Ameca. In 2017 an agreement was reached with the municipality of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga to move the team to that city.
