Club Deportivo Hispano Americano is a professional basketball club based in Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, Argentina. The club currently competes in the Liga Nacional de Básquet league. On August 1, 2018, the club officially announced that it will compete again for the 2018–19 season under head coach Marcelo Richotti. In 2016, Hispano Americano became the first club ever from the Santa Cruz Province, Argentina, Santa Cruz Province to win promotion to the Liga Nacional de Básquet, Argentina's top basketball league. Liga Nacional De Básquet
The Liga Nacional de Básquet (abbreviated LNB, and literally in English, "National Basketball League"), also commonly referred to as "La Liga de Básquet" ("The Basketball League"), is the top-tier level of the Argentine basketball league system. The league is under the auspices of the Basketball Clubs' Association (in Spanish: ''Asociación de Clubes de Básquetbol''). The LNB's predecessor league is the now defunct Campeonato Argentino de Clubes, which was organized by the Argentine Basketball Federation. Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz
Río Gallegos (Local ) is the capital and largest settlement of the Patagonian province of Santa Cruz in Argentina. Located in the department of Güer Aike, it has a population of about 98,000, according to the , a 24% increase from the 79,000 in the . The city bears the name of the Gallegos River, and sits on its estuary south from the Argentinian federal capital Buenos Aires. Santa Cruz Province ( es, Provincia de Santa Cruz, , 'Holy Cross') is a province of Argentina, located in the southern part of the country, in Patagonia. It borders Chubut Province to the north, and Chile to the west and south, with an Atlantic coast on its east. Santa Cruz is the second-largest province of the country (after Buenos Aires Province), and the least densely populated in mainland Argentina. Sebastián Acosta
Saint Sebastian (in Latin: ''Sebastianus''; Narbo, Gallia Narbonensis, Roman Empire c. AD 255 – Rome, Italia, Roman Empire c. AD 288) was an early Christian saint and martyr. According to traditional belief, he was killed during the Diocletianic Persecution of Christians. He was initially tied to a post or tree and shot with arrows, though this did not kill him. He was, according to tradition, rescued and healed by Saint Irene of Rome, which became a popular subject in 17th-century painting. In all versions of the story, shortly after his recovery he went to Diocletian to warn him about his sins, and as a result was clubbed to death. He is venerated in the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church.
