Club Cipolletti
Club Cipolletti is an Argentine sports club, located in the homonymous district of Río Negro Province. The football team currently plays in Torneo Federal A, the regionalised third division of Argentine football league system. Cipoletti was relegated from Torneo Argentino A at the end of the 2005–06 season, due to the poor performance in the Clausura and its inability to beat General Paz Juniors in the relegation playoff. At the end of the 2006–07 Cipolletti was one of the three champions of Torneo Argentino B allowing the team to return to Torneo Argentino A. The team has played at the highest level of Argentine football ( Primera División) on 6 occasions, having qualified to play in the National championships of 1973, 1975, 1977, 1979, 1980 and 1985, but never made it through the 1st group stage. Cipolletti ( or ) is a city in north of the Patagonian . With a population of 87,492 inhabitants at the , Cipolletti is the third-most populated settlement in the province, after San Carlos de Bariloche and General Roca. Geography The city is located on the north-eastern shore of the Neuquén River, just before it is joined by the Limay River to form the Negro River, a short distance upstream from the city of General Roca. Opposite Cipolletti, across the river, lies Neuquén, capital of the province of the same name, connected to it by road and railway bridges. Torneo Federal A
The Torneo Federal A (in English "Federal A Tournament") is one of the two professional leagues that form the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system, along with Primera B Metropolitana. The competition was established in 2014 as a result of a change in the structure of the league system, replacing Torneo Argentino A. Federal A is organised by "Consejo Federal", a division of the Argentine Football Association. Clubs in Federal A have indirect membership in AFA unlike clubs in Primera B, which have direct membership. All teams with indirect membership are from outside the city of Buenos Aires (playing in regional leagues) and its metropolitan area (Greater Buenos Aires), while most of the direct members are from the aforementioned area. Torneo Argentino B was one of two leagues that form the fourth level of the Argentine football league system, made up of 100+ teams playing within eight regional zones across Argentina. The other league at level four wasand still isthe Primera C Metropolitana, which is a competition for the numerous clubs in the city of Buenos Aires and the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area. The Torneo Argentino B season would end with the top teams from each zone playing in cross-over playoffs, culminating with overall champions and a number of teams (varied by season) eligible for promotion to the following season's Torneo Argentino A competition.
