Club Bolívar
Club Bolívar () is a Bolivian professional football club that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1925 in honor of Venezuelan military leader Simón Bolívar, it is the most successful and popular club in the history of Bolivian football, with 30 titles. The club was founded with a light blue color, which is why it is sometimes nicknamed "Celeste" (The Sky Blue). The club has two stadiums. Estadio Libertador Simón Bolívar, which has a capacity for 5,000 people and is located in the Tembladerani neighborhood of La Paz, is only used for training sessions and friendly matches. Estadio Hernando Siles, which holds a capacity for 41,143 people, is the club's main stadium, and is used for official matches. Estadio Hernando Siles
Estadio Hernando Siles is a multi-purpose stadium in La Paz, Bolivia. It is the country's largest stadium, with a capacity of 41,143 seats. It is named after Hernando Siles Reyes, the 31st President of Bolivia (1926–1930). The stadium is located in the Miraflores borough of La Paz, at an altitude of 3,637 metres (11,932 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest professional stadiums in the world. Opened in 1930, it is the home ground of three major Bolivian league football clubs; Club Bolívar, The Strongest and La Paz F.C., as well as several smaller top sides: Universitario de La Paz, Chaco Petrolero and Mariscal Braun. Wálter Flores (footballer)
Wálter Alberto Flores Condarco (born October 29, 1978 in Oruro) is a retired Bolivian football midfielder who last played for Bolívar. Club career Flores began playing professional football in 2000 for Club San José in his native Oruro. After six years and 140 games played in first division, he transferred to Real Potosí. Fourteen appearances seemed to be enough to convince The Strongest, which signed him for the 2007 season. After two great years with the ''atigrados'', Flores decided to move to the other side of town, and joined rival team Bolívar in 2009. Juanmi Callejón
Juan Miguel "Juanmi" Callejón Bueno (born 11 February 1987) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for San Fernando CD. He amassed Segunda División totals of 88 games and five goals, representing four clubs in the competition. He spent most of his professional career with Club Bolívar, where he scored 125 goals in the Bolivian Primera División and finished as the league's top scorer in the 2014–15 season. Carlos Aragonés
Carlos Aragonés Espinoza (born 16 February 1956), nicknamed "Aragonez" in Brazil, is a former Bolivian football (soccer) midfielder, who is Bolivia national team's third-placed all-time goalscorer. He played for several top-level clubs of Bolivia and Brazil. Aragonés was the Bolivia national team head coach in 2001. The last team he managed at club level was Blooming until February 2011. Playing career Club Born in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, he started his career in 1976, defending Bolívar, where he was part of the squad that won the Bolivian league in 1976 and in 1978, Aragonés moved to Brazil in 1981 to play for Palmeiras. Víctor Ugarte
Víctor Agustín Ugarte Oviedo (5 May 1926 – 20 March 1995) was a Bolivian footballer. He scored 16 goals in 45 caps for Bolivia, making him their third all-time top goalscorer behind Joaquín Botero and Marcelo Moreno. His national team career lasted from 1947 to 1963, and he played for the Bolivian team that won the 1963 Copa América, where he scored two goals in Bolivia's final match of the tournament against Brazil. Ugarte spent most of his career with Club Bolívar but he had a short spell with Argentine club San Lorenzo in 1958 where he was the first Bolivian to play in the Argentine Primera. He also played for Once Caldas in Colombia. Ugarte retired from football in 1966. In his last years he suffered from poverty and illness, which contributed to his death on March 20, 1995, aged 68. Marco Antonio Etcheverry Vargas (born 26 September 1970) is a Bolivian retired professional footballer who played as a forward. A creative playmaker, he is considered one of the greatest Bolivian players of all time. Etcheverry played for D.C. United of Major League Soccer from 1996 to 2003.
