Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield de San Ramón, commonly known as simply Vélez de San Ramón, is a professional football club from San Ramón, province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. They participate in the Liga Santiagueña de Fútbol and the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur. The club was founded on August 28, 1923. History Founding Vélez Sarsfield San Ramón was founded on August 28, 1923. Among its founders was Francisco Dominguez, the uncle of Juan Carlos Paz, the club's current president. Torneo Regional Federal Amateur
The Torneo Regional Federal Amateur (in English "Regional Federal Amateur Tournament") is one of the two professional leagues that form the regionalised fourth level of the Argentine football league system, along with Primera C Metropolitana. The competition was established in 2018 as a result of a change in the structure of the league system, replacing Torneo Federal B. Federal Amateur is organised by "Consejo Federal", a division of the Argentine Football Association. Clubs in T.R.F.A. have indirect membership in AFA unlike clubs in Primera C, which have direct membership. All teams with indirect membership are from outside the city of Buenos Aires (playing in regional leagues) and its metropolitan area (Greater Buenos Aires), while most of the direct members are from the aforementioned area. Torneo Argentino C
The Torneo Argentino C (officially Torneo del Interior) was one of the two leagues that form the regionalised fifth level of the Argentine football league system. The competition was organized by the Federal Council (''Consejo Federal''), an internal organ of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), and was contested by clubs indirectly affiliated to the Association. In other words, the clubs that played in the tournament are affiliated to their local leagues, that in turn are affiliated to AFA. The tournament was disputed by teams from all around the country, except from Buenos Aires, Greater Buenos Aires, Rosario and Santa Fe, whose teams are directly affiliated. Teams directly affiliated play in the other regionalised fifth tier, the Primera D Metropolitana. Teams in the Argentino C played for promotion to the Torneo Argentino B. 2014–15 Copa Argentina
The 2014–15 Copa Argentina was the sixth edition of the Copa Argentina, and the fourth since the relaunch of the tournament in 2011. The competition began on October 15, 2014. Defending champions Huracán were eliminated by Independiente Rivadavia in the Round of 64. In the final, Boca Juniors won the tournament beating Rosario Central to win their third title. By winning the competition, Boca Juniors won the right to play the 2015 Supercopa Argentina, and Rosario Central, as runner-up won the right to play in the 2016 Copa Libertadores because Boca Juniors had already qualified as Primera División champion.
