Kevin Hearn
Kevin Neil Hearn (born July 3, 1969) is a Canadian musician who is a member of Barenaked Ladies, and his own group, Kevin Hearn and Thin Buckle. He primarily plays keyboards and guitars. He is also a member of Rheostatics. Early life Hearn was born to a relatively large family, and they lived in a small home in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. He recalls buying the Beatles' ''Magical Mystery Tour'' and a Beach Boys greatest hits record, and having them become his first two favourite albums, which led him to an interest in performing music. He has also cited electronic band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), and folk punk group Violent Femmes, as formative influences. Hearn has a classical piano background. Michael Phillip Wojewoda
Michael Phillip Wojewoda is a Canadian record producer and musician. He has been nominated for eight Juno Awards and has received one for Recording Engineer of the Year and one for Producer of the Year. History Wojewoda began recording bands in 1977, working in the basement of his mother's beauty salon and using rudimentary equipment. In 1985, he produced the 2016 Polaris Music Prize and 2017 Polaris Music Prize Heritage Prize nominated album ''To Sir With Hate'' by Fifth Column. ''Havana Winter'' is the fourth album by Kevin Hearn and Thin Buckle. It was released on July 30, 2009. Kevin Hearn wrote all of the tracks on the album, which was produced by Hearn and Michael Phillip Wojewoda. It was packaged in a double-fold digipak, with no booklet or liner notes. Guests on the album include Lou Reed, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Chantal Kreviazuk, John McDermott and Laurie Anderson. Reception PopMatters wrote, " s songs have almost surprising depth at times. The album was made available for pre-order on iTunes November 17, 2014, and was made available for streaming on CBC Music Canada on November 18. The album was released November 25, 2014. Mothball Mint
''Mothball Mint'' is a solo CD by Kevin Hearn, keyboardist of Barenaked Ladies. This album was produced by Michael Phillip Wojewoda and released in 1997. Kevin is accompanied on the album by many Toronto-area musicians who were friends of his, including all of the original members of his then-future band, Thin Buckle. One solo track originates from the Chicago Barenaked Ladies show from which the Rock Spectacle album was recorded. The rest of the album was recorded in a studio. All of the studio tracks feature Bob Scott on drums. Bass duties on the album are split between Barenaked Ladies colleague Jim Creeggan, and Chris Gartner. Martin Tielli and Derek Orford each play guitar on several tracks. Various other musicians contribute to the album. Kevin Hearn and Thin Buckle (originally Kevin Hearn and the Thin Buckle Band) are a Canadian band consisting of Barenaked Ladies multi-instrumentalist Kevin Hearn as the front man (typically on guitar or keyboards), bassist Chris Gartner and drummer Great Bob Scott. The three had previously collaborated as members of the Canadian alternative rock band Look People. Guitarists Martin Tielli and Derek Orford were originally members; the former left the band to pursue other musical interests in the early 2000s, while the latter left due to injury shortly after the release of ''Night Light'' in 2004 and never returned to the band other than as a guest performer on four tracks of ''The Miracle Mile''. Brian MacMillan joined the group on guitar and keyboards after ''Night Light'' was released, effectively replacing Orford. Boothby Graffoe (born James Martyn Rogers, 1962) is an English comedian, singer, songwriter and playwright. He is particularly known for his surreal sense of humour and work with Canadian band Barenaked Ladies. Early life Rogers was born in 1962 in Kingston upon Hull, Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. For the latter part of his schooling, he attended Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Horncastle. At the age of 18, he became a member of the Butlins Redcoats, redcoats at a Butlins on the south coast.
